  1. Turns out that my AMD software wasn't reading my card properly and wasn't telling me about the newest drivers, so I was behind a bit (17.7.0 to 18.2.2) All is good now, GTA is running better than ever! Sorry for the trouble and thank you for the troubleshooting help, I really appreciate it!
  2. Well I'm not exactly sure what I am doing wrong then as I don't believe I am doing anything abnormal in the game..?
  3. I ran Cinebench and got 442 cb originally, then when I bumped up the application's priority in task manager to "High" I got 507 cb
  4. I haven't messed around with my clock speeds at all since I bought it, is there any program I can use to check my clock speeds or is it better to just check it in the BIOS instead?
  5. I don't think that is the case, and if it were, I would be genuinely baffled. My reason behind saying that it would leave me baffled is that a friend of mine has a system with a lesser graphics card (GTX 1050ti) and a Ryzen 3 1200 that outperforms my system... That being said I think that my CPU keeps peaking at 100% without me noticing which is causing the severe dips in frame rate (I believe it has to be peaking at 100% because of the infrequent map loading speeds; Eg. missing textures/blurry textures whilst driving. It forces me to adjust the amount of CPU I can allocate to the game by ticking off one core in the affinity option of task manager.)
  6. This problem persisted even back when I originally had my overclocked FX-8300 instead. So, I'm not too sure that is the cause.
  7. Actually I don't, but that isn't much of a problem considering that I have very few programs. Sorry to put a bother on you for tomorrow but that's about the only time I have to get it reset, so I'll quote you then to update. That being said I appreciate everything so far tonight! Much love!
  8. Most of the time, yes; However, even in a scenario such as that the framerate won't go much higher than 65, if that. Just checked my settings and it isn't enabled... Reckon I just factory reset then?
  9. As far as I have seen, yes; That may just be because I don't play many demanding games so they don't require much to get an above average frame rate. I ran it on Fire Strike Ultra earlier and got a god awful score of like 2,400 for some reason, and whilst I'm typing this I am about to test normal Fire Strike. Here is the result:
  10. I tried my best to snag it right after the benchmark ended: I have not, I definitely will try that though
  11. As the problem stands now, I believe this is only prevalent in Grand Theft Auto V. But what is seeming to happen is that even though my CPU usage stays below the 90%+ mark often, the game stutters a bit and meanwhile maintains a mediocre frame rate for what the RX 480 (MSI RX 480 Armor OC Edition) should be achieving... My Computer: CPU: Ryzen 3 1300X MOBO: MSI B350 Tomahawk GPU: MSI RX 480 Armor OC Edition RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V (1x 8GB) HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB The Frame rates I achieve: Minimum: 34 AVG: 42 Maximum: 63 (This is with the settings being set to their "Lowest"; This being going to the normal preset for most. I also forgot to mention I play using a 1080p Monitor) Thanks in advance lads! - Chris
