  1. "Was thinking about picking up a laptop for casual use"
  2. Was thinking about picking up a laptop or desktop for casual use, any recommendations? Budget tops is $400 (w/o monitor for desktop), I'd like at least 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. If at all possible I'd like to stray away from Dell. Haven't had too much of a good experience with them. Battery life would be preferred as average. Low or high isn't a deal breaker for me. Weight and other details don't matter to me. EDIT: Was looking at these two, would they be any good? https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/desktops-and-all-in-ones/ideacentre/500-series/510A-AMD/p/99IC95A0269 https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/ideapad-300-series/Lenovo-ideapad-330-14IKB/p/81D00010US#tab-currentmodels
  3. I don't recall the actual number, I'm not at my house. The model of the computer is the Inspiron 3452
  4. Conveniently right when the warranty expired, my battery on my laptop said it was "plugged in, but not charging". I ignored it, because it still held a stable charge. Overnight something happened, and now the laptop is completely dead. The indicator of charging/sleeping, etc., isn't on nor will the laptop turn on. The first part of the charger is a connector. One side goes into the socket, while the others go into a black brick. There's a light on that brick that is green, so I assume it's getting a connection. I can even hear the hum of electricity. Why might my computer not being getting the charge? It holds in the AC Adapter just fine. It's the Inspiron 3452, according to Dell.
  5. I've read that Essential has connection issues with T-Mobile, that sometimes it doesn't connect at all, sometimes it drops, sometimes it fluctuates terribly. Is there any known specific region that has this issues, such as the rural parts of the countries? Some of the amazon reviews have said it's worked fine in cities. If I were to get this, do y'all think (if it's even possible to know) if iit would work half decently in the Charlotte area?
  6. Both games have the same concept. Which game is better than the other? https://store.steampowered.com/app/587000/First_Strike_Final_Hour/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/1520/DEFCON/
  7. The US version (as I said in OP) has only 3GB
  8. In that case, which would be better gaming-wise? Would the 4GB offset the faster GPU on the Nokia?
  9. Would the difference in RAM (3GB vs 4GB) affect anything gaming-wise?
  10. I'm soon to have a decent sum of money and am looking to buy either the Nokia 6.1 (US) or Huawei Mate SE. I've been looking at the Mate SE for a rather long time. I've been reading and I've seen that a lot of people are starting to recommend the Nokia 6.1. Seeing that the Nokia 6.1 has timely software updates, I'm also interested in it. I'm completely torn between these two phones, so I was hoping some of you guys could help. Which phone: - Has better charging speeds - Has a longer lasting battery - Has a decent camera for the $200-300 range - Has a better gaming experience at medium to low graphics. The games I plan to play are PUBGM, World of Tanks Blitz and World of Warships Blitz. And if anyone has any other phones out there (within the $200-$300 range) that do all of the previous listed better than the Mate SE and Nokia 6.1, please tell me. Thanks for your help! Edit: Just want to make clear I would be purchasing the US Nokia 6.1, with 3GB of RAM.
  11. Have to get an ID badge to change it.
  12. If you're outside of the US, look at the Honor 7X. Inside the US, look at the Huawei Mate SE.
  13. Can any of you guys recommend me a laptop for school work? Looking to do work, browse the net and maybe do some very light gaming. Looking for it to be below or at $300, not refurbished and either ChromeOS or Windows 10.
  14. Was looking around for a relatively cheap laptop for schoolwork and other items. I'm looking towards Chromebooks now because: - I've had horrendous experiences with past Windows computers - Play Store apps now on this Chromebook and a few others. How well does the Chromebook Flex 11 do for schoolwork, browsing and watching videos? What about Play Store apps, such as PUBG or World of Tanks Blitz (if they even work on ChromeOS)? Thanks, n8cwhite
  15. With Oreo coming to the Honor 7X US on the 30th, would that mean it would be pushed out to the Mate SE at the same time?
