  1. Was looking through SSD prices on newegg, as per usual, then I noticed an interesting new optane SSD available for pre-order! It will going on sale in November. Unfortunately your board will need to support M.2 22110 in order to install it. I myself am very excited since the Asus Hyper M.2 does support this form factor.? It's almost as if Asus saw this coming.?
  2. I don't have too much time to go into detail at the moment since I'm kind of busy at the moment with other obligations. The gist of it is the mega browser extension is compromised with malicious code and is attempting to steal passwords and crypto currency. discovered on 9/4/2018 here is the link to the original artical I saw while I was browsing the web: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/mega-chrome-extension-hacked-to-steal-login-credentials-and-cryptocurrency/
  3. Hey @LinusTech remember that time y'all tried to use a heatsink without an IHS with liquid metal? This probably would have made it easier, lol. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F263718962561 I just found out about it today while I was looking into deliding. It's pretty cool, every bad pun intended.
  4. Sounds like its on a hardware level issue; did he try to load in the BIOS? If the system wont even do that its more than likely because the GPU is faulty; hell; if the GPU was actually found in a "dumpster" it might not even have firmware on the card.
  5. No I can understand that; that isn't hard to understand. My issue is you clearly must not have watched the video. Linus clearly said they exist in the machine learning super computer market. They weren't released to consumers; they were released to labs and companies using them for machine learning. That means the drivers are out there somewhere; which makes it very possible for a third party driver management service to have obtained them. You can't completely rule a possibility out until you've tried it; I get the vibe you've never done basic trouble shooting for a company have you?
  6. Have you people even used the software? Because from the way y'all talk y'all clearly haven't. When a third party driver manager finds things that windows can't; they're clearly doing something right that Microshit isn't.
  7. No need for the trash talk fam it works and it's effective I'd honestly be surprised if they didn't have the drivers he needs.
  8. Don't know how to or if it's even possible to contact Linus directly (hopefully he or one of LMG's employees See's this post), but regarding the Intel GPU drivers he's looking for I suggest trying driver booster from IObit. Their driver database is huge. http://purchase.iobit.com/aff/en/db/2017general/index.php?aff=37071 The free version should handle it just fine. @Linus
  9. The HDD I'm cloning is windows but I have access to Linux windows and Unix based OS's.
  10. The HDD is 450gb the SSD is 480 I have used this cloner in the past without issues and would prefer not to buy software if possible. Do you have freeware recommendations? It needs to be a bit for bit clone because some of the drafting software he has on there is a bit touchy and will cease to function if this is not done correctly.
  11. Hi I have a sabrent ec-hdfn which I have used to make hdd clones in the past. Currently I am trying to make a clone of my father's HDD to a new SSD; as the life of his HDD is currently dwindling. For whatever reason I can't seem to get the cloning process to start, so I'm hoping someone may have some insight on this issue. I've Googled around a little with no success (mostly product reviews how to forum posts and where to buy results is what comes up). I also tried to contact the company, however, they did not answer (will try again tomorrow). If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.
