Pretty much what the title says.
Currently own:
HyperX Fury 2133Mhz 16gb
1050ti
Planning to buy:
i5 8400
Gigabyte B360M HD3
Corsair CX550M
Crucial MX500 500gb
I've previously bought ram and it's not on the Gigabyte B360M HD3 Qualified Vendors List. Would this be a problem?
Also if you have any suggestions for my build please let me know.
Thanks in advance
My build
Already bought:
GTX 1050ti
HyperX Fury 16GB 2133Mhz
Planning to buy:
i5 8400
Corsair CX550M (or maybe a TX550M)
Gigabyte B360M HD3
Crucial MX500 500GB
Hey everyone,
I recently bought Kingston hyper X Fury 2133Mhz 16gb RAM (2x8gb)
The packaging said it was single rank memory. What's the difference between memory and channel? Would there be any issue using two single rank sticks on a dual channel board?
I'm looking to get the i5 8400 when the new motherboards come out. Would I need to get an aftermarket cooler or would the stock one with the Intel thermal paste be enough?
What's the difference between the B250, H110, H270 motherboards?
I know they have a different number of ports and stuff, but is there a big difference in build quality?
Thanks in advance
Trying to build my first PC
Should I get the i5 8400 and the new budget motherboards that are supposed to come out soon or would it be worth the wait to get the next generation of CPUs
Current build plan:
gtx 1050ti (already bought)
i5 8400
b360m motherboard
corsair cx550m
16gb ddr4 2133Mhz (already bought)
samsung 850 evo 500gb ssd (all the space i'll need)
Thanks in advance
Hey there!
I'm building my first PC and I'm not sure which power supply to get
so far I've bought
16gb ddr4 ram
MSI GeForce 1050ti
an old cooler master mid tower case (from my old pc)
I'm planning to buy
Core i5 8400
A compatible Coffee Lake motherboard once the cheaper ones come out (B360m if Gigabyte has it otherwise the next next cheapest one with dual bios)
Samsung 850 EVO 500gb (this is all the space i'll need. i have a 2TB external hard drive for other storage)
Right now I've been considering the Corsair CX550M 80 Plus Bronze semi modular and the Cooler Master MWE 500W.
Please help
