  1. Jup, did a big scan and everything seemed to be alright. must have missed that especially went to Samsung because Sandisk had that file lost thing going on with their extreme portable ssd line and I thought "in Samsung you can trust"
  2. Hey guys, I really dont know where else to go, neither adobe support nor apple support could be helpful so far. I'm turning at you for your aid! The beacons of gondor have been lit! So I'm a photographer and I've noticed since a year that from time to time my .psb (photoshop files) are sometimes getting corrupted (see screenshots below). Sometimes I get an message sometimes its just there (even without saving). I've tried multiple different options etc but the only remaining option that could be the cause is the external SSD I'm always working on. Its a brandnew (one year old) Samsung T7 Shield 4TB exfat formated (I'm using both windows and mac) I'm most of the time editing on my Macbook Pro M2 Max Anyone experienced or seen something like that?
  3. correct I basically just need a HUUUGE Harddrive that is a bit faster than an normal Harddrive (500mb/s and 20-30TB usable storage) I was thinking about going with the OWC ThunderBay 4, I already have a few OWC Products and so far they've been solid. I would put some high capacity WD Red's inside. But then I dont know IF or HOW I can format those drives so I can maybe add more drives later. I've seen Unraid in LTT Videos (obviously) but that always looked more like an OS you need to run on full scale server systems. Nothing that you could install on those "Toy Raid Enclosures" am I right?
  4. Hey guys and girls, I've heard that there is an option for raids where you can add more drives without having to reformat the whole array. Is this something hardware related or is this software related? What do I need to look for? I want to get a Raid (Just big storage, no NAS connectivity) which would have an option to expand the storage in the coming years without having to reformat the whole raid. @Edit: maybe I should've listed more specifically what I'm looking for: 500mb/s (read/write) 20-30TB 1-2 Drive redundancy Option to add more drives later (if possible) Secure Safe Secure Maybe nothing where you need an degree in server IT
  5. yes I will stay with 1440p for sure!
  6. Oh good point! And since im happy with my 1440p 16:9 Monitor I think 1440p Ultrawide would be enough And new GPUs are impossible to get XD
  7. Budget (including currency): maximum 1000/1200€ Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly gaming in 1440p, currently playing LostArk & Sea of Thieves. RTX2080 SUPER + Ryzen 5 5600X Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): -1440p -Vesa compatible mount -Gsync (compatible) -min. 140hz -Good Colors (for some content consumption) -HDR I've read through this forum and also watched some youtube reviews but they all seem to propose different monitors and either 400€ cheap Monitors or 2000€ premium ones. So far I've checked out those: LG 34GN850-B LG 38GN950-B Currently I own a Benq and an Asus Display and have been happy with those displays so far. (they're 16:9 tough) any recommendations?
  8. X570 Boards are just the bit more expensive Versions of B550 Boards right? Like more Features and longer/more Compatibility?
  9. Budget (including currency): 800€ Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1440p Gaming, Video/Photo Content Creation Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): -RTX 2080 Super -32GB DDR4 Ram -Corsair H150i Water cooler -Lots of Noctua Fans -Lots of Harddrives and SSDs -A Thunderbolt 2 Raid What I want to replace: Intel i7 6700K (delided and overclocked to 4ghz) Z-170 A Motherboard Hey Guys, I Really need to switch out my old trusty CPU because its really restricting my GPU. I was thinking about getting a Ryzen 5 5600X (329€) and since I want to continue using my old trusty Thunderbolt 2 Raid for my Picture Backups, my local Shop suggested the Gigabyte B550 Vision D Motherboard (279,89€). What do you guys think about that combination? The only Downside I found so far is that the Gigabyte B550 Vision D doesnt have an USB-C Front Header for the USB C Case in my Fractal Meshify but I dont think that there are many options when you want to have Thunderbolt right?
  10. Yeah spoke to msi Support and they said that I had to send back the Card.
  11. Which is why I went with the x570 Auros Ultra from Gigabyte And then used an pcie thunderbolt card? Or does it have one internally? Which cpu did you get?
  12. Hey, I have the exact same Problem, GPU is arround 75-77C° and the Fans are always ramping up for 20seconds and then down again and thats really annoying (and loud) especially if you think about that the MSI RTX2070 should be the most quiet RTX2070 Card. I already tried setting different Fan Curves in MSI Afterburner, but I didint had the Feeling that this does anything at all. I just wrote the MSI Support, maybe they know something.
  13. Hmm maybe I need to rethink my Data Management and look for a Motherboard from Asus with 10gig Network and sometime in the Future add a Network Storage Solution (but I havent been happy with those I've tested yet). And until then use the Asus Thunderbolt Card.
  14. Is actually quite okay here 280€ currently. So either I go Intel Core i7 8700K + Z390 Designare or I will go with the external Card I already have (sorry I actually have an Asus Motherboard + PCIE Card) But yeah to have a solution without a Card (that you have to loop back into the Graphics Card) would be awesome!
  15. uff just checked the 570 Creator...500bucks is really a lot for a Motherboard...
