  1. Yeah after i went to sleep i immediatly set to the default options of the motherboard bios and it kept happening, black screens, goes to lock screen, as if a program is forcing it to keep open. This time imma just try to reinstall windows all together today, might be because of an update, i did see that some other people have this same issue with windows.
  2. Hey everyone, I did my first over clock today on my pc ( the minimum oc allowed on locked components ) It worked fine even got to set my own .bmp as splash screen but now late at night out of nothing windows kept returning to the lock screen rather then shutting off or going to hybernate or sleep. Screen goes black 2 seconds, then the lock screen comes up. I log in it works fine but then shutting off goes bad again! Anyone who knows how to tackle this?
  3. Hello everyone here is a little bit of a throwback to an old thread: Old Thread Now i thought i'd give an update on it. Everyone knows nowadays how to make a custom resolution, but maybe your custom refresh rate is not working? Now you need to know the following for the next rest to work; 1. Your Monitor / TV advised resolution. 2. The base Refresh rate. 3. The maximum refresh rate of your Intel HD Graphic card. When you know these i invite you to follow the next thing. Try jumping the refresh rate to 74 / 75 you might see that one/both stays in the same scale of your screen, the following you will want to do is jump to 80 [ Yes this is a significant jump. ] you might see that the scale is off. Do not worry, all you have to do is use a BRIGHT color as background as the lines not shown will be fully black, now when you know where the lines of your monitor are you can rescale your new refresh rated monitor the right way. Doing this will allow you to use a higher refresh rate then some think possible! My monitor / tv is a Salora 32 Inch monitor advised scale 1366 x 768 with a refresh rate of 60Hz. Currently i am running it at 1366 x 768 at a nice 84Hz as any higher cutted out of the monitor. I hope this helped some of you!
