  1. i would be buying a third party vertical mount. there is basically no thermal loss since the card isnt against the glass its like 3 inches in the case
  2. I have a Meshify C. I like the look of both cards those being the 2070 super founders edition and the gigabyte gaming oc 2070 super. They are basically the same price. Im thinking about buying a vertical gpu mount so thermals are unaffected, although the gigabyte model is too long to fit with a mount (the 3rd party mounts add length too long for my case). Do you like vertical gpu mounting, what would you go with FE Vertical or AIB Horizontally
  3. what new tech does it offer, (other than raytracing unless that is explicitly what you were referring too)
  4. what type of programs were you using that supported the technology better?
  5. I know the performance and pricing and value of both , take this as a poll. List the card you would get and why. Also, do you think ray tracing is interesting? Do you use nvenc? Or is it just raw fps for you?
  6. I am COMPLETELY aware that 750w is overkill... There's a story behind how I got it for the price I did I was buying a 650w Corsair vengeance 80+ silver supply , it was on sale for 50 dollars. It sold out, I bought the 750w because it was $10 more it was overkill but hey less fan noise. It arrived dead on arrival and when I called support they had none in stock, so Corsair upgraded me to the TXM 80+ gold 750w for free , it was also semi modular but I jumped up a class for free. I've been using it in my other build just fine. I bought the Arctic cooler because I've used it before on a friend's build it's a very very good cooler. Stock would've been fine I personally just like the lower temps and higher frequencies, fans are pretty quiet too. Sabrent is a trusted brand also

I didn't go with stock because I wanted cooler temps. Just so happens to be very solid and goes with the black and white scheme.
  8. No no.. I put a screwdriver in the standoff to turn it , so it kind of grinded it down that's all I'm saying lol
  9. No like I literally used the screwdriver to tighten it so it widened and grinded the screwholes lolol but the screws still go in and it tightens and has been secure for a month but it still worries me
  10. Where can I buy replacement motherboard standoffs for my Cooler Master H500 case. It was my first time and on a few standoffs I got really close to ruining them but I want to just replace them with new ones. I directly used a screwdriver to tighten them then the tool that I didn't see. (I was an idiot and knew I was doing something wrong but I couldn't find a better way to tighten it, I just tried to be as careful as possible to not ruin the screwholes but to still tighten it , it works for now but I want to replace)
  11. no amazon full refunds for whatever reason within 30 days of purchase so im good to go
  12. the pro carbon is like 15$ more and it has wifi, argb headers, bluetooth.. etc
  13. thats what I thought. This is definitely one of those OCD things but I was mainly curious if I was overlooking anything
  14. yeah I was just curious lololol. all very valid points. im JUST now starting to get somewhat educated on everything.. so the new comer OCD is coming along with it. thank you, that was my conclusion before, if i need front usb ports ever ill just go to the back or use a usb hub. I have plenty of time and enjoy swapping things out and tinkering so the labor involved with swapping a mobo did not bother me and I thought is kinda fun, that will change when I view it as a chore. I didnt even want to return it until I heard maybe the bios would have better upgrade options and I thought hey why not
  15. To start off I have a feeling im putting way too much energy into this lololol.. but, one of my usb 3 pins broke on my b450 tomahawk, its still in the return period so I was going to get it replaced until I saw the MAX version is going to be in stock, I know its literally the same board but with a bigger rom capacity. I think the only difference is that it supports the really old cpus and has a visual bios, I dont mind text based bios at all. Then I heard that the bigger bios size would ensure ryzen 4000 support, thats kinda important to me so I was planning on just going that route. then the b450 gaming pro carbon ac went on sale for around the same price. i think its the same vrm set just with more bells and whistles (2 m.2 slot, argb, wifi) So Im thinking about just going with that board, until I had the OCD thought that the carbon bios is already kinda maxed out they are on text based and cut the athlon chips to make room. My only concern is while I understand nobody knows the future but im hoping if i go with this board the bios wont get maxed and i wont be able to upgrade to an 8 core ryzen 4000 processor in the future...?
  16. ryzen 5 2600 is on an more future proof platform with upgrade options. later you may have to swap that intel board where you could just bios update and swap with a newer am4 chip
  17. when I built my pc, I put my extra motherboard screws and extra case screws in the same baggy. im now returning my motherboard through amazon, do i even need to put any screws in the return box
  18. most rgb related things will have a secondary option to jrgb so i should be fine
  19. I have a non max tomahawk, usb pins broke going to return for the max (better bios and why not), are there any boards with similar vrms as the tomahawk or better that also has JRGB headers, im gonna do some rgb upgrades later.
  20. yeah i knew it had double the capacity but i wasnt sure if they were still going to make sure it would still be compatible i think im just gonna cross ship with amazon do you know of any good b450/x470 boards with similar vrm setups or even better for not too much more that have jrainbow headers , i plan on doing some flashy upgrades
  21. i built my pc a few weeks ago, noticed one of my ports is dead. 2 of the usb 3 pins broke off during install. its the non max b450 tomahawk, but now the max is available its still in the return phase. I can get a refund and get the max for the working usb port and bigger bios chip. It wouldnt be too much hassle, if the only difference is a text based/non text based bios I dont really care much, but if its possible to have ryzen 4000 support from the bigger chip I will return it. Does anyone know the differences between the max and non-max?
  22. i forgot to mention how much it would be in other locations but... this is still the cheapest kit in this category. 3200mz will work fine tho
