  2. So I got an MSI 785-e51 motherboard with an amd phenom 955 BE processor and I would like to know how to overclock on this motherboard. I've tried researching and I really can't figure anything out and I don't know anything about overclocking at all. I would like to overclock to 3.8 and its stock clock is 3.2 If someone could help me with step by step instructions it would be very helpful thanks
  3. @Electronics Wizardy I don't have the old computer
  4. So I recently did a sysprep on the hardrive from my old dell pc that runs windows 7 and I put it into a pc that I put together out of used parts. I noticed that when I booted in that it was very glitchy and had a lot of issues. Then after a while the computer crashed. I try restarting it and I get a bluescreen for about a second and then it tries restarting again. It boots usually on the third try but crashes after a few minutes. Not sure what to do. I don't really feel like getting a new hard drive. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?
  5. @Crunchy Dragon I tried to update the BIOS but when I tried to run the BIOS file it said it was the same version but msinfo32 says the date of the BIOS is 3/29/2012 and the Dell Support BIOS upgrade was released 07 July 2012
  6. Indeed, I did use thermal paste. I am currently using the original CPU.
  7. So recently I bought a used Inspiron 570 and I got a new power supply, graphics card, and a new CPU for it. When it came to upgrading my pc I ran into an issue. I placed the refurbished CPU (AMD Athlon x4 640) into the motherboard along with my new power supply and graphics card. The computer turned on but nothing displayed on my screen. It wasn't a graphics card issue because I also plugged the monitor into my motherboard and nothing was displaying it either. I took out the x4 640 and put the Athlon 250 back in and it turned on and the screen received a signal. I tried reseating the CPU to see if I sat it wrong but still, nothing came on the screen. The motherboard is a dell 04gjj motherboard. I was told that I should update the bios and I have checked and the bios is a few months later than the most recent bios upgrade. I haven't done the bios update yet and I was wondering if there is something else that I might need to do or if I have to update the bios. I am aware that the CPU might be defective.
