  1. Does anyone know if the Google Pixel 3A supports the 'screen call' feture that the other Google Pixels have?
  2. I’ve just purchased this refurbished HP Elite book 840 G2, Now the machine came with one stick of DDR3L ram, however when I inserted a 4GB DDR3 (Not DDR3L) stick from my old Laptop (Dell Latitude E6420) the HP came up with an error message upon booting explaining that I had inserted an incompatible DDR3 ram type however the laptop still proceeded to boot and seems to work alright regardless. So does this mean that it’s okay to continue to use the machine like this? Or will it damage/reck it?
  3. Does anyone know if this laptop can support audio via it's DisplayPort using a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter? I’ve also enclosed the specs should you require them in order to resolve my query. Specs: SKU ENC-HP5588 Form Factor Notebook Operating System Windows Memory 4GB Hard Drive 250GB Model EliteBook 840 G2 Processor Intel Core i5-5300U CPU @ 2.30GHz Processor Type Intel i5 Processor Generation 5th Generation Processor Speed 2.30GHz Processor Count Single Processor Graphics Card Integrated Graphics Screen Size 14-inch Screen Type LCD Optical Drive (DVD/CD-ROM) None Sound Integrated Sound
  4. Sorry didn't see this, they don't look that much different tbh so might be worth considering after all. Thanks!
  5. Yeah, a good point might look into that, only thing is I really want to go refurbished this time. also, I don't do bidding either. Also would all my batteries, chargers and current OS work with the E6440?
  6. Good question! Cut a long story short my Latitude E6420 which I bought secondhand 'non refurbished' back in September 2018 'not long ago I know' seems to be on its last legs, and as I was really enjoying this laptop up until this point I wanted something that wasn't going to be too different but also had some minor incremental upgrades and also was the only refurbished option 'like what I already had' I could find via the website I wanted to use.
  7. Yeah, I haven't bought the other computer 'yet' though to answer your question the answer is yes it is running Windows 10.
  8. Can someone please tell if an SSD inside of a Latitude E6420 with Windows already set up and installed on it would still work if transferred to an E6430? Before anyone says anything I'm more than aware that Windows will have to be reactivated, though I'm guessing that most if not all of the drivers required will be the same.
  9. No! I would not know where to get the files for flashing it either! Though I might try what you told me about the factory reset and all that, don't really want to backup and restore my data as things might get forgotten. though it might be the only way forward, will have to think about it. Also thanks for trying to help, your help is very much appreciated.
  10. Since having a software update recently 'the one that gave us WhatApp' I've noticed that I can no longer find Bluetooth in the settings menu, this means I can no longer manage paired devices. All I'm asking is for everyone to help by making some noise so as something gets done about this.
  11. Good evening all, I was watching one of the LTT live streams "FINALLY Fixing the Mineral Oil PC" on Youtube (though I don't think any of this should make any difference. So yeah I was watching this stream then all of the sudden the screen started flickering and turn black then the computer came out with the following blue screen, so I grabbed my camera and thank god too! When the computer was rebooting it wanted to do a "diskcheck" it give me the option to skip this by pressing anykey so not wanting to wait around like you do I skiped it. However having opened the browser "Mozilla Firefox" (SHOULD NOT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE) The tabs I had open restored themselves then computer screen went black again and has stayed black (I've just left it for now) Having done a Google search for the video scheduler internal error I found that this might be due to a hard drive issue, so what do we think? Do I need a new SSD? the drive is almost full by the way NOT THAT IT SHOULD MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.
  12. Hi, just logged on now to read your comments having already solved the problem. turns out that the fan wasn't pluged in atall, as I had forgotten to plug it back in. Thanks for all your helpful comments though.
  13. I started to have issues with my laptop overheating the other day (about Monday), so while I waited for my new thermal paste to arrive I using my desk fan in my room to keep the laptop cool. The paste has now arrived and has been applied however the problem persists in fact it seems to be getting worse. Could my laptop be just ready for the scrap heep or what?
  14. Yearh thanks for your response regarding the SSD temps, As for the screen resolution it isn't running at 640x800 at the moment however the screenshot was taken while I was remoting in from Windows remote desktop using my laptop (Which is also not using this resolution) but does however have the text size set to large at 150%. Also I do believe that I have the RD client on my Laptop set to the default resolution of possibly somthing like 640x800 as you suggested. Note: This last screenshot was taken natively using the Desktop computer itself (Not Remote Desktop), hence why the picture probably looks different now.
