  1. Hi everyone, Anyway, I am looking into getting my first mechanical keyboard and I'm quite excited about it. Here are a few things that are important or I need help on. • Location Germany • Price: sub 200€ would be great, but could stretch a little further • TKL layout • Minimal, grey look • Lighting is not necessary, but would be a nice touch, same as a wireless connection (could be added later on) I quite like the look of the Ducky One 2 TKL keycaps, but the base/case could look better. I thought about using the pcb, keys and keycaps of the Ducky, but put them into another case. I like the look of this one, however I could not find it in Germany yet. Has anyone got a possibility to this, either through a case or a different keyboard? I do know the basics of soldering if that question would come up. Thank you very much in advance!
  2. Okay, thank you. Is the 2060 FE an idea and how does perform in terms of noise?
  3. Thank you. I am a fan of Nvidia GPUs though so I would rather go with them. My main concern actually is which GPU I should get for my needs. Will the 1060, for example, be sufficient?
  4. Hi everyone, for my first build I am still looking for a Graphics Card. I have made some research but could not come to a conclusion, I hope you can help me out. Requirements: Dual Slot Max. 300mm long around 350€ budget (Germany) light to medium 1080p future proof gaming light to medium photo editing quiet cooler Some possibilities I am considering: Asus ROG Strix GTX 1060 adv. [210€] Some Gigabyte 1660 (ti) [250-300€] Nvidia RTX 2060 Founders Edition [369€], but I am open to new suggestions. The rest of the system: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Noctua L12 16gb Corsair Vengeance 3200 mHz Asus ROG Strix B450-I Corsair SF450 Louqe Ghost S1 Thank you very much for your help! hohoho
  5. Sure, I am a fan of Team Green though, so they have a slight edge
  6. I checked it and the ROG Strix does actually fit
  7. Hi together, I am looking to building my first PC in the Louqe Ghost S1. However, this case requires a Dual Slot GPU. These are my current options: - Asus ROG Strix GTX 1060 6GB advanced (210€ Germany) - Nvidia RTX 2060 Founders Edition (369€ Germany) It will be for 1080p gaming and light to medium photo editing, also it should be fairly quiet. Thank you very much for your help. hohoho
  8. Thank you. The MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB ARMOR OC costs the same as a 1070/2060, so I will probably not go with it.
  9. I will get this from a friend who does not need it anymore. Normally I would go with a regular SATA, but under the circumstance
  10. The Corsair 570x is quite a lot too big for my opinion and why would I need a z-series intel motherboard if the CPUs are locked? Also, Corsair unfortunately does not sell the RGB in single sticks, which is pretty annoying.
  11. Hello, May I have your advice? I am currently planning my first PC build. I will use it for light to medium gaming in 1080p, probably 1440p down the line. I hope to be able to use it for as long as possible (min. 5 years) without upgrading major parts. The system should be as quiet as it can possibly be and I am quite keen on aesthetics. It is to note that I will probably add the GPU down the line and need to use something like a cheap GT710 with the AMD CPUs. My budget is 1200€ and the location is Germany. These are the configurations: SFF build (between 1000€ and 1200€, depending on configuration) CPU: - Intel Core i5 9400 or - Intel Core i7 8700 or - AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or - AMD Ryzen 7 2700 CPU cooler: Noctua NH-L12 Mainboard: - Asus ROG Strix B360-I - Asus ROG Strix B450-I Memory: - Corsair Vengeance LPX 1x8 GB 2666mHz (for Intel) - Corsair Vengeance LPX 1x8 GB 3000mHz (for AMD) both doubled later GPU: - Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB FE - Nvidia RTX 2060 6GB FE Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB Powersupply: Corsair SF450 80PLUS Gold Case: Louqe Ghost S1 mini/midi tower build (between 900€ and 1200€, depending on configuration) CPU: - Intel Core i5 9400 or - Intel Core i7 8700 or - AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or - AMD Ryzen 7 2700 or - AMD Ryzen 7 2700X CPU cooler: - Be quiet! Dark Base 4 - NZXT Kraken M22 Mainboard: - Asus ROG Strix B360-I - Asus ROG Strix Z360-G - Asus ROG Strix B450-I Memory: - Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8 GB 2666mHz (for Intel) - Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8 GB 3200mHz (for AMD) GPU: - Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB FE - Nvidia RTX 2060 6GB FE Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB Powersupply: Corsair RM550X 80PLUS Gold Case: - NZXT H200i - Phanteks Enthoo Evolv The Louqe Ghost is a beautiful case, but do I need to be aware of any issues with such small cases? Which CPU/GPU is the best for my needs? And is there anything else I forgot about? Thank you again!
  12. Hello everyone, I am currently (once again) thinking about building my first PC. I made list of parts, but am still unsure about some (the ones with more than one option) and need advice. CPU: - Intel Core i7 8700 (~348,00 €) or - Intel Core i5 8400 (~209,00 €) CPU cooler: - Noctua NH-L9x65 (~45,00 €) - Noctua NH-L9i (~40,00 €) GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 Founders Edition (~289,00 € - would be added further down the line, e.g. late 2019) Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B360-I (~135,00€) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 1x8GB DDR4 2400, CL14-16-16-31 (~60,00 €, will be doubled further down the line Storage: - Samsung 860 Evo 500GB (~70,00 €) - Samsung 970 Evo 500GB (~110,00 €) PSU: Corsair SF450 80PLUS Gold 450W SFX12V (~70,00 €) Case: Loque Ghost S1 (216 €) Online List: https://geizhals.de/?cat=WL-1060903 (Location Germany) I will use the System for light to medium gaming as well as some photo/video editing and maybe music production further down the line. I would prefer not having to upgrade the CPU and Motherboard in quite a few years, so future-proofing is quite important to me. Also, I have quite a liking for simple and clean builds that do not have to be large. I know the case I have chosen is beyond the what you would expect from this budget, but I really like it. Thank you very much for your help.
  13. The total Budget for the system is around 1250 USD.
  14. I am in the process of planning my first PC, but I am unsure whoch of these three cases I should go for: NZXT h200(i) NZXT h500(i) be quiet! Pure Base 600 The rest of the build is all done and only minor changes will be made, depending on the case I will eventually go for. For me it doesn't matter of the PC is on or under my desk, so the decision is down to looks, airflow and cable management.
