  1. No its not dead pixels. This effect goes across the screen. Like I said if I hit ESC in game (RDR2) and then go back they are gone. On the desktop I noticed them in the title bar. But if I restore down/maximize the window it goes away.
  2. Sometimes I see this effect in games and even on the desktop. It's difficult to capture with camera but here is the best I could do. Look to where the trees start near the middle not the sky as those are just pixels close up. I really need to be up close to the screen. I'm seeing horizontal lines but very faint. Almost like a screen door effect. I first noticed it in RDR2. But as soon as I hit the ESC key to pause the game and then go back it disappears and the image looks smooth again. It kind of looks like interlacing lines. This is on a LG 34" UltraGear monitor with a Strix 2080Ti GPU. Everything is up to date so I don't know what is causing this.
  3. Ok I found a fix. I disabled Nahimic service and that fixed the audio recording issue. It also fixed my Chrome startup issue. Chrome took 5 sec to load now its instantaneous. The only issue now is Sonic Studio 3 doesn't start. It just sits on the splash screen. I don't really care as I never used any of its functions anyway. I might just uninstall it. I'll still try OBS and see how it works for me. Mods maybe you can move this topic to the troubleshooting section.
  4. I've never used OBS but have heard of it. I like GeForce Expereice because I can start/stop to record anytime via hot keys. It always worked for me until recently. I don't know if its something on my system that changed or GeForce Expereice.
  5. I just started to notice my audio is no longer being recorded properly in games or on the desktop. I get this weird sound coming out when playing a file. I attached a short sample to what I hear. I went through all my settings in Windows and even reinstalled GeForce Experience but nothing seems to fix it. Anyone have this before? Sound.mp4
  6. Fanless design is the most important. The user interface is great. Its very shallow too and would fit in the rack I want to get. I don't own any Ubiquity products yet so who knows if I'll like it. Have you ordered from their online Canadian store? Are there customs/duties on delivery?
  7. That listing looks a little sketchy. No reviews, no description... Its fulfilled by Amazon so I guess if anything I can return it without question. I'm not in a rush so I'll keep looking.
  8. That's what I plan to do if my Synology NAS recognizes the UPS. I don't have this UPS yet so I can't test it out. The only settings that can be made in Synology are time delay/low batter to when to initiate a shutdown. The UPS via PowerChute has more options to configure but I don't think I can have both the NAS and a PC connected to the UPS as there is only one USB port on the UPS.
  9. I think this is something that I won't need to use. Seems like its geared towards professional applications. I still like the UPS as its very shallow and light. Perfect fit for the wall rack I'm interested in. So lets say I first connect it to a PC via USB and make some configuration changes in PowerChute, then disconnect it from the PC and connect it to the NAS. Will all the settings I made be retained in the UPS memory?
  10. I would like to get this UPS for my upcoming home network rack build but don't understand what the Modbus TCP switch on the back is used for. I can't find any documentation on this. I just want this shallow UPS to be used for my Synology 918+ that will be sitting in the rack. From my understanding the USB would connected to the 918+ NAS and this would initiate a safe shutdown if the UPS goes on battery power. I would also have a Ubiquity switch and gateway connected to this UPS. Another issue is if I have the USB connected to the 918+ how can I use the PowerChute software that will be installed on a PC? Can I just use a USB hub for this?
  11. I did, last week I sent them an e-mail but did not get a response. I seen that but I don't know if there are duties/customs added on delivery.
  12. I checked all those. Can't seem to find the USW-24-POE Gen2 switch for a good price. If purchasing directly from the Canadian Ubiquity store do we have to pay duties/customs? Its all listed in CAD with free shipping but doesn't say anything else.
  13. Anyone use Ubiquiti products? If so where did you purchase them in Canada? I'm interested in UniFi USW-24-POE Gen2 switches and APs.
  14. The standard is PoE 802.3af. I think most PoE switches can work but I'm more concerned about the bandwidth. I've read that IP cams should be placed on a VLAN in a managed switch.
  15. I'm going to be installing 5 cameras around my home to use with the Synology Surveillance Station but I'm not sure what type of PoE switch to get. From the attachment this is how I would like it set up. I have everything in that image connected except PoE switch and cameras. PC2 is currently connected (wired) to the Wifi router. Would a regular PoE switch work for the IP cameras without having bandwidth issues or do I need a managed PoE switch? If I do need a managed switch I was looking into the Netgear GS110TPP. Any other recommendations?
