  1. Great! I was able to copy installed steam games from another PC to my PC. This method is way more faster than using Steam's Backup and Restore. Thank you so much!.
  2. Credits to this Article: https://lifehacker.com/how-to-move-a-pc-game-to-another-hard-drive-without-re-1714706774 I just want to know if this method of transferring Steam Games from one PC to another still works. Or if there's any lacking steps. I've been using the Steam's Backup/Restore process which takes a lot of time/patience. *also encountered an error "Please insert disk 1" on a backup that took me 4 hours waiting. Need your suggestions, Thank you so much for checking this out. The Article say's (Method 2); "If you’d prefer not to download extra software, you don’t have to—both Steam and Origin have ways to “detect” installed games after you’ve moved them. You just have to perform the right steps in the right order. If you’re using Steam: Create a folder in the new location where you’ll store your games. If you’re on Steam, you’ll need to do it through Steam. Head to Settings > Downloads > Steam Library Folders and click “Add Library Folder”. Navigate to your new Steam library folder and create a new folder within it called steamapps. Then, create a folder in steamapps called common. Head to your current Steam folder and find the folder for the game you want to move. You’ll likely find it in steamapps/common. Copy the game’s folder, e.g. “Borderlands 2”, to the new steamapps/common folder you created in step 2. Open Steam, right-click on the game you’re moving, and select “Delete Local Content”. This will uninstall the game from its original location. When that’s done, click the Install button to re-install the game. In the “Choose location” dropdown, choose the Steam folder on your new hard drive. Instead of re-downloading the game (which could take hours), Steam will detect the existing files there and make any necessary minor changes. When it’s done, you should be able to play the game as usual."
  3. I see, Thanks. How about Assassin's Creed Black Flag? will that work?
  4. Thanks guys, will try the games provided. But I think not for first-person shooter games . The last time I played Crysis 2, I think my brain would pop out I have these weird motion sickness with first-person shooter games.
  5. I wonder what good new/old titles I can play in high settings with 3rd Gen. budget build My PC specs: Intel® Pentium® Processor G2020 (3M Cache, 2.90 GHz), 2x2GB GSKILL RipJaws, Asus GT 1030 OC 2GB GDDR5, and Patriot SSD *Despite of limited resources, work so hard to build this one way back 2013, except GPU which I bough few weeks ago.
  6. I manage to take a screenshot of the issue I am referring to (I am unable to do it earlier cause I am on duty .) As we can see on both image, take closer look at the lines (from tiles and stairs), we can see some *I don't know whats the right term , but when the character moves/walk/run, it is like flickering.
  7. Thanks guess I still need to upgrade my monitor for better experience though, as well as PC specs.
  8. I'll try this one, thank you. (I apologize for being such a newbie for assuming the monitor was the problem.)
  9. For example, While I play Dragon Ball Xenoverse, Whenever my character is walking through tiles, The lines (on tiles) is flickering (I don't know the exact term) , I wish I could record it or something.
  10. Oh, Yeah, I forgot, I am currently using BenQ GL955A - LED monitor - 18.5. Native Resolution 1366 x 768.
  11. Hi! I’m new hear at Linus tech tips. I think this is the right place to ask for advice on choosing the right monitor with limited budget and pc specs. I am using a normal 18.5”” BenQ monitor, and I notice flickering whenever I play games (Dragon Ball Xenoverse, NFS Most Wanted, Crysis 2) My PC is kinda low end though, but I am sure this is not about my system specs. My PC specs: Intel pentium G2020 IvyBridge, 2x2GB GSKILL RipJaws, Asus GT 1030 OC 2GB GDDR5, and Patriot SSD. Since I am planning to upgrade my Monitor, I dont know what to pick, Do I need 1ms response time to avoid flickering while playing games. Does 60hz enough? What I have in mind is 24”” Zowie from BenQ, As I have limited budget. Thank you so much for checking this out!
