  2. My visit to hometown after about 15 months, started with this crap day. After 24 hours of travel and a good night's sleep, I woke up looking at the very first computer I had (Which hasn't been turned on for years, maybe 5). It was a sunny day and I started ripping apart the tower, 1GB DDR3 (All it had on it was Made in Malaysia and a few stickers with serial numbers), 320GB SATA II Hitachi HDD 7200 RPM, Intel Pentium E5500 (I don't remember the clock speed), Lenovo L-IG41M3 motherboard and an integrated graphics card by Intel. After cleaning up the components and blowing off the dust from almost every space in the computer. I had all the things back at there respective places and had all the connections set up. As soon as I fired up the CPU, the sound of those two small fans started annoying me. Then after a few seconds, the monitors switched to power saving mode with no sign of system boot up. In that moment of disappointment, I rechecked all my connections and figured out that there might be something wrong with my 15 pins D-SUB VGA cable. I drove out 9 miles to buy a new VGA cable and again rewired my monitor with the motherboard. It happened again Monitor switches to power saving mode as soon as I hit power on the CPU. I am all set down trying to figure out what went wrong the whole day. Is it really the VGA cable? Or did I mess up with something else?
