thats what i figured but i cant shake the fact that memtest86 passes with 32GB of ram with zero errors

I have triple checked. it takes no force to put the cpu in and there are no missing pins.

yeah i wasnt sure. it had bent pins but i got them straight and and thought it might have just been that. i saw a post here from 2020 with someone with the same issue and they just claimed warrenty services but i cant do that. its really not a big deal i thought it might have just been something stupid

both motherboard bioss are up to date. Linux was a usb installer and a live install off a usb. Windows never even initalized the usb installer or a ssd with preinstalled drivers and that kind of stuff.

I got a new cpu and it wont boot into any os. I get a blue screen for windows and a kernal panic for linux. I am upgrading from a 5800X I have tried 2 different boards both a Asus X470 prime pro with latest bios and a MSI B550 MPG B550 Gaming Plus. I have swapped parts in and out in all combonations the parts i have used will be listed below. Cpu: 5800x, 5900x ram: gskill trident Z rgb 4x8GB 3200, Corsair vengeance lpx 1X8GB @2133 Motherboards: Asus X470 prime pro with latest bios, MSI B550 MPG Gpu: gigabyte 3070, Asus rog strix rx 580 PSU: Evga G6 850W Cooler: Corsair H100i RGB platinum Storage: samsung 970 Evo 1TB, WD blue 2TB m.2 sata ssd I can boot into memtest and it passes with all 32GB of ram @3200Mhz I have tried both ubuntu live usb and a windows 10,11 installer i get the errors listed below. with and without any storage attached. windows 10/11/usb installer: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL & Page Fault in Non-Paged Area ubuntu linux: Kernel Panic Not Syncing Error Things i have tried: 1 stick of ram in every slot in both motherboards ram speeds down to 2133 and up to 3200 all the combonations of parts. I have no warrenty i got the cpu for $7 from a liquidation store

i completly agree. I love how it looks its why i bought it. I just wanted to share in case anyone wanted to see how one looks after heavy use.

Just wanted to share incase you wanted to know what a well used one looks like.
