  1. Oh god im so dumb.. I saw this before your post and it didnt work when I full screen a youtube video, alt+tab, and right click the task icon... Now I realize i simply need to find a flash, right klik the flash window inside any url, and go to setting.. I've disabled it, and hopefully this will work. Will report the result in few days EDIT: I thought this would work, but 2 minutes in, and the issue resurface..
  2. I don't get it, Should I find more about adobe flash or should I go for something else? Cause I can't find any article that works on my pc T_T..
  3. I can't find the troubleshooting tab on display -> advanced properties, which seems to be necessary to disable it. Any other way I can disable hardware acceleration?
  4. Tried an LG display at the same resolution, the same issue happens. Now I think it is either the mobo's PCIe slot problem, or GPU, although GPU is questionable since this has been swapped.. Is there any software issue that will affect browsing / watching videos?
  5. will try and post the result later. The issue exist not only inside a game, but also on youtube which is very bizzare. The games I tried it on are Tomb Raider, and DOTA 2, both suffers the same issue, although on DOTA 2 the issue is much more vivid. I will try RMA again eventually, but for now, I want to try out any other possible issue, since RMA will take quite a while.
  6. Sadly I need to find some1 with 1080p display, which is not very common around me. most of my friends use laptop to game. Or can I just use my previous ~720p display to check? Before I use the crossfire, I was using the onboard graphics, HD 4600, and there is no issues except for the lack of graphic powwaaa I RMA'd the GPU, so, very new, ~ 1 week old. I have tried going 1 GPU on both of the PCI socket on motherboard Clear CMOS, flash latest mobo bios, all bios config on optimized default flash new GPU bios reinstall windows , and the issue still persists...
  7. Very much doubt that would be the issue, considering that I have attempted to go for 1 GPU for a while and the issue somewhat persists, though less frequent. 1 R9 280x + the other parts should never overload an 850 watt PSU. Considering that there are many small issues like the problem with videos, I really want to try to swap the display with another, but I'll wait until I can eliminates other known possibilities, since this action may be either costly(buy), or a major hassle(borrow).
  8. I tried AMD 14.4, find the problem, and then roll back to the version recommended on the MSI page, which is 13.6, where the problem still persists. I also tried the radeonpro, trying to tweak several of its options to no avail I can't. My ASUS ML239H only allows VGA/HDMI input, and I am currently using DVI->HDMI cable provided in the LCD box. Spec: mobo = Gigabyte Sniper M5 CPU = 4670K Memory = corsair low profile 2x4GB(cant find the exact name) 1600 mhz HSF = Hyper 212X PSU = NZXT 850Watt, Hale82 series SSD = kingston ssdnow 120gb HDD = WD black 1 TB GPU = 2x MSI R9 280X gaming
  9. I have some visual problems with my current crossfire 2x MSI R9 280X. It is not quite like the screen tearing that I know, but is more like the next frame is pushing away the previous frame upward, causing the bottom half of 1st frame, and the upper part of 2nd frame displayed together ______ a1 a1 a2 a2 a3_____a3 This is frame A, split into 3 parts ______ b1 b1 b2 b2 b3_____b3 This is frame B, also split into 3 parts For what I know, screen tearing is ______ a1 a1 b2 b2 b3_____b3 Which while is quite disturbing, but my issue even worse ______ a3 a3 b1 b1 b2_____b2 Which make this bug very noticeable and makes me feel quite nauseatic This is not the only issue, there are also several visual bug where several black boxes appear on the screen, when I watch videos on media player classic, green line appears on top of a web page(youtube), and quite some more. I tried to remove one of the GPU, the issues persists but is much less noticeable and less frequent compared to when both GPU are used. Any idea about the issue and how to solve it?
  10. Thanks for the replies! I think I somehow cracked it, windows pagefile starts using my empty partition, and after disabling pagefile, no more issues detected.
  11. I recently attempted to do overclocking on my 4670k, and came across the magic number of 1.25v vcore, 4.4ghz on several guides and posts. I tried OC ing on XTU, and then doing stress test for 8 hours and also benchmarks 6 times, all on XTU. The config passes all, with highest temp of 82C I'm overjoyed, and I'm ready to play Dota 2 again, which shouldn't even require any of the OC. It crashes after ~5 minutes in, and the XTU set the config back to default, which works out fine when playing Dota 2.. I currently use GIGABYTE SNIPER M5 mobo, 8 gig of ram, and 4670K, with my GPU is currently being repaired, so I'm using the onboard graphics I read numerous Q&A about whether onboard graphics will interfere, and each one of them says it shouldn't. So my question is: 1. is intel's XTU unreliable for OC? should I go only for UEFI? 2. is 8 hours of stress tests and 6 benchmarks on XTU not enough? how far should I go? 3. is this issue lies on any other possible problems? I only OC the CPU, I even let the RAM stays at default without XMP Thanks in advance
  12. @ShadowCaptain Those are very helpful! Especially the bf4 benchmarks, with 1440p, 4K, and eyefinity 1080p results. Based on other benchmarks I saw, 280x CF is around 30% stronger than a single 780, and the eyefinity benchmark on bf4 says 780 gets 18 min fps and 26 avg. Which means around 23 min fps and 33 avg on 280x CF(considering no issue), pretty damn low. Now I'm trying to weigh whether Ultra config worth that much on games I play. If not, I might still go for eyefinity. If Ultra is too good to pass, i'll just get one or two cheaper 1080 displays(120-150$) for multitasking work. Thanks for the insight. @Pomfinator Yeah, and some other benchmarks just go for high, not ultra. My bad.
  13. @ShadowCaptain Wow I didn't know that. Most game benchmarks I saw keeps saying >120fps on 1080p, which is faaaaar too much for my 60hz monitor. Perhaps the games are outdated lol. Thanks!
  14. @ShadowCaptain Yeah, but since 280x CF is overkill for 1080p, I figure I'll go for better display config. I just don't know whether 5760 x1080 will work well enough with the cards. If not, I'll just go for 1440p display. @Paralectic the 280x CF is already bought (and can't be returned), now I just want to figure out which display(s) to go for.
  15. Title says it. I've been looking around for new display setup, and plan on either 1080p eyefinity or 1440p. After looking around for benchmarks and stuffs, I notice that 1 monitor 1080p vs 1440p doesn't really scale with pixel count. 2560x1440 = 1.7 times the pixels of 1920x1080. a random game benchmark says: 1440p = 60 fps, 1080p = 86 fps. while my math counts: 1080p = 1.7 x 1440p fps = 1.7 x 60 = 102 fps. or even: 1440p = 0.56 x 1080p fps = 0.56 x 86 fps = 48 fps. Other benchmarks results also doesn't scale that badly on higher resolution, so I'm thinking that there might be some base graphic processes that doesn't get affected by resolution, making higher resolution much more feasible. If resolution doesn't affect fps THAT much, I will go for eyefinity with my 2x R9 280x. I intend to use the monitors for multitasking work, and then use it for eyefinity gaming whenever it's possible.
