  1. I just wonder if there is something that acts like a UPS, instead of a power bank. If not, then I'm gonna use a pass through power bank.
  2. Hi! I use a GoPro for recording long trips and I plan to operate it without a battery, connected to a charger powered by my car's lighter socket. The problem is that without a battery loss of power would mean that the recording would stop. I'm thinking of using a pass-through power bank as a back up power supply, which of course is not its ideal type of use. Is there any other solution that can act as a UPS device for the camera, except a pass-through power bank?
  3. Check the other picture from CrystalDiskInfo. I also used Hard Disk Sentinel which reports the same number of bad sectors, by the way. So if you have an suggestions... Also I made this search https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q=sandisk+ultra+3d+smart+crystaldiskinfo and I see many CrystalDiskInfo reports showing bad sectors for the Ultra 3D drive.
  4. Well, temperature is definitely wrong. 150 billion degrees... I had already run SanDisk's software. It doesn't say anything about bad sectors. I have installed the drive in an external enclosure by the way and it is connected by USB. 0.13 GB are reported occupied by the program, but Windows showed the drive completely empty. Now I still run H2testw.
  5. I have started running H2Testw which will take several hours. Can I run HDD Guardian or should I let H2Testw finish first? And the crucial question is: Is 545 bad blocks common for a new SSD or should I worry?
  6. Brand new drive. Have a look at the results: 221 bad blocks. (That's in hex so 545 in decimal.) How bad is this? How common if for a new SSD to have bad blocks and how many? Anything else from the results that stands out? Thanks!
  7. Personally, I think the one made by Corsair is compatible. If anyone can confirm it, please do.
  8. Move it how? The problem is that you have to move it left or right I guess and I that's not possible. Have a look at this bracket: http://www.techstores.gr/corsair-2-5-3-5.html and then to this one: https://www.plaisio.gr/anavathmisi-diktia/apothikeusi/ssd-skliros-diskos/Goobay-SSD-Goobay-2-5-to-3-5-Bracket-055-0823.htm I think that it's clear from the photos that the first one secures the SSD on the left side of the bracket and the second one in the middle of the bracket. Of course the connector of the case and the SSD should be perfectly aligned in order for the SSD to fit, so it's impossible for those 2 brackets to both be compatible with an external case, if any of them is compatible after all.
  9. Are you sure? I read that the connectors don't align with the cases' with some brackets. Furthermore, I just returned home from a computer shop and they told me they are not compatible. That I had to buy an external 2.5'' case if I had to use the SSD externally.
  10. Are there any 2.5'' to 3.5'' SSD brackets that are both compatible with desktop towers and 3.5'' external HDD enclosures?
  11. I just received a new Sandisk Ultra 3D 1TB SSD from ebay, while waiting for more components to build a new system, which I hope will also arrive shortly. I was thinking of using an 2.5 to 3.5 inch bracket to install the SSD in an external USB enclosure I have, in order to test it while waiting for the other parts to arrive... My questions: Is testing the SSD for problems using an external USB enclosure sufficient or should I wait till I connect it directly to the motherboard in order to run any tests? CrystalDiskInfo is one program I plan to run in order to check for any issues. Should I run H2testw to ensure that the size written on the disk is the actual size and that the disk is not a counterfeit or to check for bad sectors etc.? Any other programs and/or tests I should run? Thanks in advance for any answers!
