  1. Hello, I'm on Windows 11 Pro and installed it with no issue. I installed Valorant today and it gave me an error about secure boot not being enabled. TMP 2.0 is enabled but i can't seem to do the same for Secure boot. When i try to select UEFI and reboot i get an error and it changes back to CSM _______________________________________________________________ "There is no GOP (Graphics Output Protocol) support detected in this card. "BIOS CSM/UEFI mode" settings in BIOS will be changed to CSM". Press F1 to run setup. press F2 to continue. _______________________________________________________________ I'm currently running a 5600x on a B550 A Pro motherboard Graphics card currently is r9 290x. I updated my BIOS which didn't help and updating VBIOS i failed in being able to update that. Is there anything i can currently do to resolve this issue? Is it a question of an outdated hardware causing this issue?
  2. Not streaming as i am the host, streaming as in watching Netflix etc. My girl says with if i just want to watch Netflix i could get like a kindle but i want to be able to do more if that is possible.
  3. I am looking for a device to mostly watch streams and movies on. If there is a possibility for light gaming that be great but I'd to look in to an option where it is purely movies only (to save cost) With light gaming i mean games such as The Swindle, The binding of Isaac and Rocket League at best. The last time i looked in to laptops was in 2008 and i don't know what to look for now and what options i really have. Budget would be not much more than $350 USD.
  4. Good afternoon, I am in need for internet on my desktop. ( i am moving ) For the beginning while i will not be able to hardwire it. I am an avid gamer and watch a lot of shows. My question, should i go for a USB dongle or PCI-E card? What are some good brands? Do you perhaps know some solid product you can recommend to look at? Thanks, Rage.
  5. Awesome, Thank you for the information!
  6. When i select the AMD Ryzen 5 5600x i get: Warning! Some AMD X570 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Is this an issue that is resolved but the warning still stays? That warning worries me a little about the purchase of that CPU and Motherboard combination.
  7. Thank you so much for you rapid response. Changed the RAM and added a cooler.
  8. Budget (including currency): about 1000~1150 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Any game, mainly shooters, RTS and Open world games, Maybe starting dabbling into streaming. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Old system is: CPU: Intel I7-920 (@2666Ghz) GPU: Radeon R9 290x RAM: 12Gb DDR 3 @ 1066Mhz I am taking from my old build is: Keyboard, Mouse, Mic, SSD and a HDD, Monitor (2560x1440@60Hertz), Also i will take the GPU for now until prices are becoming more affordable. I am planning to start buying components within the next 3 weeks. Depending on prices and possible overtime at work, i am considering getting another monitor too. Some AMD X570 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vermeer CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions. Known Issues for me: Most of my knowledge (which is limited) is back from 2008. ^_^ I am struggling on which motherboard to pick, I'm looking for a good, solid board that preferably is not overloaded with stuff i won't use. Does the CPU stock cooler hold up under (mostly) gaming workloads? To what degree does it RAM speeds, timings matter in real life scenarios? If you have any questions, tips or recommendations, please, feel free to let me know.
  9. Hello! I saw that my temperature was higher than normal. (normally around 40-45 idle) Now that i looked at it i remember my GPU Tuning being 300 and VRAM Tuning a lot lower when the PC was in idle. Is there a setting i should change, reinstall the drivers or maybe something else? Are these settings fine? (This is default for me) Ps. I installed the newest drivers and there was no change.
  10. When you upgrade your GPU keep your wattage in mind. You might also have to upgrade the PSU.
  11. Hello! I'm still working on putting a new system together and i have a small question. I'm looking at the 3600x or 3700x. I will be 99% use the PC for gaming, maybe once a months some streaming for friends to show a game or something. Would there for me be any real world differences in performance? I'll also not that i'll be getting a (99% sure) RTX 2070 Super. ( If that is relevant ) Any advice is greatly appreciated!
  12. Thank you all for the wonderful advice and some view points! Currently set on this build: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor ($269.99 @ Micro Center) Motherboard: MSI B450-A PRO MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard ($99.97 Amazon) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory ($74.99 @ Micros Center) Power Supply: Seasonic USA Focus Plus 650 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply ($119.99 Micro Center) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB Video Card ($499.99 Best Buy) Total: $1064.93 I have decided to wait with the case for now to put that towards components, as mentioned i can always swap the case. ( Thank You for that ) I still will look at my PSU and give an update tomorrow. If i can use it, i can drop the PSU. (It was bought about 2-3 years ago)
  13. Hello! 1. Residing in the USA. 2. Aim: Playing modern games smoothly and sporadic streaming, Loads of watching content such as twitch/YouTube etc. 3. Monitors: Currently 1 1440p @60Hz. 4: Peripherals: They will be taken from current PC 5. Upgrading: Running games on low FPS and desire to maybe getting in to streaming is something i can't comfortable do right now. Also, I know i can get some components a little cheaper but i am not 100% familiar with PCPartPicker. If i can skip the GPU for another year (maybe prices will be dropping) would you suggest it? Does the CPU/RAM upgrade be enough for now? I am more looking for what would better suit me, Which changes can be made to make it all more cohesive. Point of worry for me is that i have no knowledge of BIOS updating, does my CPU match the motherboard without flashing it since i do not have another one in case it is not compatible on first boot.
