  1. Will the EK 360mm AIO fit in the front of the Phanteks P500A with tubes down? Tube length is 40cm. I'll have an MSI 3080 SUPRIM X in there too mounted normally, which is a very large card (336mm) and I'm not sure if the tubes will be able to fit around the to reach the bottom of the radiator.
  2. I thought about the ML120s too but I am not much of a fan on their looks after seeing them in other builds. However, I did just discover another fan: the Corsair QL120. How does this compare in terms of both noise and performance to the LL120s? Also came across the Corsair ICUE SP120s, same questions as above about those too. Also since I am using the Meshify C case doesn't that mean the fans will spin slower and softer because of the better airflow in the case? Although I am still not sure how loud LL120 fans are
  3. are they really that bad? and wouldn't the Meshify C make their job much easier too? or is that still irrelevant
  4. I'm going to be building a PC based around the RTX 3080 which will be primarily used for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and a few other games, and currently I am stuck on what fans to buy. I am unsure if I will overclock my CPU or not in the future, but I am planning on buying a good AIO cooler in case I do, namely the Corsair H115i Pro, as I have heard it is an excellent performer and fairly quiet. I have heard the Be Quiet! Silent Wings 3 are very quiet and good performers, which will be good for the case I am using: the Meshify C, as since it is a very open case without much/any sound insulation, and I do not want a very loud PC. However, I also want my PC to look good and I was originally planning on getting a 3 pack of Corsair LL120 RGB fans, 1 at the rear and 2 on top (the rad from the H115i will go at the front). I believe that these fans have pretty good performance too for airflow and temps, but I don't know how loud they are, and if it is worth getting them for the aesthetics in a case such as the Meshify C. Would the LL120s be a lot louder to achieve the same temps and airflow as the Silent Wings 3? I know the case fans aren't exactly similar, especially considering one is an RGB fan and the other prioritizes performance and silence, but I do not know if sacrificing the aesthetics of the LL120s would really be worth it over the Silent Wings 3 in the Meshify C case, considering its air flow is already exceptional and the fans should not need to spin at such a high RPM (correct me if I'm wrong please). Basically, here are my questions: 1. How do the Corsair LL120 fans compare with the Be Quiet! Silent Wings 3 in terms of temperature and airflow? 2. How do they compare in terms of noise levels for both to achieve the same performance? 3. Would either fan be very loud in the Meshify C? Especially considering the case's very high rated airflow? 4. Would it be worth replacing the fans on the Corsair H115i Pro for either better noise levels or better temperatures/airflow? 5. Do I really need the Be Quiet Silent Wings 3 for quiet performance over the LL120s or will the difference be negligible?
  5. so basically no difference in performance between the 2 i mentioned?
  6. Hi all, I am currently planning a build based around the RTX 3080 (when it is released). I am not sure which AIO cooler to buy. I know AIO coolers do not always offer the best performance compared to air coolers, but I am not going to be doing much (if any) overclocking on my build so I don't need anything extreme, although it will be primarily used to run Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 in 4K and I want to achieve good performance and decent temps. I have narrowed my choices down to: NZXT Kraken X63 Corsair H115i Both are priced extremely similarly, the X63 at AUD $220 and the H115i at AUD $225, so pricing is not an issue here. I have heard that the thickness on radiator matters a lot, and the X63 has a 30 mm rad whilst the Corsair one is 26 mm. I am not sure how much of a difference this will make, but I thought I'd point it out as it makes me lean towards picking the X63. However, I also like the H115i because of compatibility with RGB software. I am planning on buying 3 Corsair LL120 fans, so the lighting software would be much easier to sync rather than using the NZXT software. I've also heard that NZXT software is horrible to use. I'm also considering buying Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM, which would also work well to sync up with the rest of the lighting if it is all Corsair. Although I also like the look of the G.Skill Trident Z RGB RAM, so I am still deciding between the 2. Finally, as well as cooling performance, noise is another big factor for me. If there is barely any difference in noise levels than this factor can be disregarded, however I think it should be taken into account if it is a noticeable difference, as I am trying to aim for decently quiet but at the same time good performing PC. So my priorities are: 1. Cooling 2. Noise 3. RGB light syncing
  7. Alright cool, and thanks heaps for all the help
  8. If there's no noticeable benefits in temps or performance I think I'll stick with 2 x 140mm for intake as apparently it is quieter than the 3 x 120mm
  9. Oh and one more thing, would it be a better idea to have 3 120mm fans at the front or 2 140mm fans in terms of both noise and performance
  10. I think I will actually go with the Corsair ones, I disregarded them at first because I wanted the fans to sync with the X63 but I guess that doesn't matter. Also, they are very similar in price and look much better. With the Corsair ones you can see the RGB from both sides, correct?
  11. Could I instead mount the radiator on the top with the 2 140mm fans underneath, a 120mm at the rear, and then have another 2 140mm RGB fans facing the outside of the case to show through the mesh? Or would this be too much/a bad configuration I think the NZXT AER RGB 2 Fans are good but I will have to look more into them if I replace them with the ones included on the X63 cooler.
  12. One more question, since I want to have some RGB in the PC I am lost with what fans to buy. I am looking at the NZXT AER RGB 2 fans, as I am getting the Kraken X63 cooler so I want the lighting to sync together. However I am not sure where in the case is the best spot to mount the X63, nor do I know which direction the fans should face, which way the X63 should face, and how many RGB fans I should buy for the Meshify C. I have looked at some completed builds on PC part picker, and most that I have seen have 1 RGB fan at the back (120mm), sometimes 2 RGB 140mm on the top, and then some people put another 2 RGB fans on the AIO at the front and the fans are on the inside, or they do the reverse and put the fans on the outside to be seen through the mesh. How should I go about this? And is it a good/bad/doesn't matter if I swap the fans on the X63 with RGB fans?
  13. Thanks, I think I'm sold on the Meshify C now after watching a couple of reviews
  14. Thanks, I think I'm sold for the 2 sticks of RAM over the 4 sticks, but I'm still not sure if the motherboard is justifiable over say a AUD $200 - $300 one. What extra features does it give me apart from the ability to overclock?
