Yeah i know it's really low level specs, just got curious remembering that a slot was empty. Any other advantages of more RAM which will be worth it?

Hello, I have got a Dell inspiron 15 3521 laptop (Windows 10, Core - i3 1.8 ghz) currently with 4gb DDR3 memory pre installed along with Intel HD 4000 graphics (which is basically useless for graphics intensive tasks). There is one more unused RAM slot available and since intel HD graphics uses shared memory from the RAM, will it be helpful if i pop in another 4gb DDR3 stick and run them in dual channel? Will i be able to dedicate more video memory? Also it will be of great help if anyone can suggest if doing so will help in improving performance of Autodesk softwares like AutoCAD and Revit (which run fine since my laptop satisfies the basic system requirements). P S: Please excuse any errors since this is my very first post
