    I am currently working on a prototype of this. It would decode any ffmpeg supported codec directly in premiere. But it's not ready yet.

    You could even render a UYVY 4:2:2 clip entirely lossless(!) with x265.

    Maybe this is interesting to some of you. I wrote a free and open source Adobe Premiere exporter capable of exporting x264, x265 and nvenc (h.264 and h.265) without the use of a frameserver. You can even queue render tasks. It is twice as fast as a similar frameserver workflow. NVENC encodes wil like 200-300 frames per second.
