  1. Thanks for the explanation. I was assuming the GPU would be cooler and that 75 was on the high end. At what GPU temperature should I get concerned?
  2. I mean that was the reason I bought it. My CPU is normally fine, sits at about 54-60 under load. The GPU is anywhere between 67-75.
  3. Looking for some help with a case upgrade. Currently running a Fractal Design Meshify C with 2x 140MM Noctua Intakes and a Noctua 120MM rear. My GPU temperatures are higher than I would like even with a more aggressive fan curve. Wondering if anyone can recommend another case that may improve GPU temperatures or possible a better fan curve? My thought is due to the compact size and how close it is to the fan that it may not be getting adequate cooling or maybe heat can't escape fast enough? If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Specs: I7 8700K Noctua NH-D15 Cooler (one fan currently) Asus Z370-E Motherboard Asus Strix 1080 Graphics Card 16gb Corsair Low Profile DDR4 1TB Samsung 970 EVO NVME 500GB Samsung 960 EVO NVME EVGA 650 G3 Power Supply 2x Noctua NF-A14 (Intake) 1x Noctua NF-F12 (Exhaust)
  4. It is currently listed on Canada Computers. I placed an order but they told me it was back ordered. Unsure when I will receive it but my hope is soon.
  5. Thanks for the help everyone. If the temperatures are nothing to be concerned about I will just stick with what I have and look into upgrading in the future when a case comes out that either offers much better airflow or some feature I don't already have.
  6. Good morning everyone, I have recently been thinking about moving to a new case but hoping for some input. The computer is current inside a Meshify C with 2x 140mm Noctua NF-A14 fans as intake, and a NF-F12 as exhaust. Temperatures while gaming are decent but have room for improvement. 50-60's for the CPU and 65-75 for the GPU. Due to the clearance at the front I was debating if moving to a slightly longer or larger case would improve cooling at all. There is approximately 1 inch between the GPU and the front fan. Hoping for some help from the experts. It might be a waste to move to another case but hoping someone can help me determine that. Also open to ideas on how to improve thermals, especially for the GPU. Open to recommendations for cases that might improve things. On a side note I guess I could also do 3x 120mm in the front instead. Current Build: I7 8700K NH-D15 Asus Z370-E Motherboard Asus Strix 1080 (triple fan)
  7. Mine is pretty stable at 70-72. I don't monitor it while gaming but it says that is the max temperature when I exit. I know that I can probably adjust the fans on the cooler to run harder to bring it back under 70 but at the cost of noise. Unsure if I should just leave it.
  8. Thanks so much. I feel better about it. I heard you typically want to be in the 60's but I guess as long as I am under 80 I am in good shape
  9. Great idea but unfortunately due to the length of the strix there is no clearance for it to be up front. It barely fits with a fan in front of it.
  10. Good morning everyone, I am looking for some help regarding my build. I have a Fractal Meshify C TG and my GPU temperatures are a little higher than I would like. I would also like some opinions about airflow options. Currently I have two Noctua NF-A14 PWM fans as intakes and one NF-F12 fan as exhaust. My GPU under a heavy gaming load hits about 71-72c. The GPU is currently being cooled by a Noctua U12s and normally reaches around low 60's during load. I have a EVGA CLC280 sitting around because I can not get it to fit with the G.Skill ram at the top. I was thinking of potentially replacing the ram with Corsair Vengeance LPX to allow me to mount the CLC280 above as exhaust. I thought this might help both CPU and GPU temperatures for more exhaust. I would have two Noctua NF-A14 IPCC 2000rpm fans with it. The spacing for the GPU and the fans is very close currently and I am wondering if it is being choked off. Parts: Asus Z390-E Motherboard Intel I5 8600K 16gb G.Skill Trident Z Memory 3200MHZ Asus Strix GTX 1080 Wondering if I should keep the current setup and if anyone has any advice on how to improve the temperatures, or if I should try to go with the CLC 280 and the new ram option. This would give me three exhausts instead of 1 so I would be working with a different pressure setup. Thanks for the help in advance!
  11. Sounds good, I was hoping to avoid a sata cable, but I will do that. Is there a way to control the brightness?
  12. Good morning everyone, Hoping for some help with an RGB issue. I just purchased a 30cm CableMod RGB Strip with only white LEDs so I could light up the interior of my case. I currently have an Asus Z370-E motherboard, and connected it to the motherboard with the provided Asus adapter and extension cable. Upon plugging it in the cable made a horrible buzzing sound and the LEDs were very dim. I booted the computer and attempted to use Asus Aura to try to fix the issue. When I went to calibration it would stop buzzing but I assume because there is not actually blue/red/green RGB's no matter what configuration I used it would not stop buzzing or light up completely. Anyone have any idea how to use a white RGB strip connected to the motherboard or is my only solution to power it individually through SATA? I was hoping to avoid this as I am not using any SATA drives in my computer and trying to keep the cables tidy. If anyone has any suggestions let me know, as I would like to get this to work if possible.
  13. I thought about the dark rock 4 but it’s not available until April. The build is already waiting for the remaining parts. In regards to the x52 I thought about it but it appears ram clearance with a top mounted AIO is an issue. I would mount it as intake but the gap between the gpu isn’t big enough as it’s a triple fan. I dont belheve Nocuta makes the chromax stuff for the U14. Only 15 or 12. Anyone have any advice on the case fans for nocuta or be quiet?
