  1. Sounds good. Thanks for the insight I will do that.
  2. I went into bios and the cpu temp started to drop and got down to 38C before exiting bios. When looking at cpu usage there is nothing that is running that is using crazy amounts of cpu usage. Is it something running in windows that could cause the cpu to run hot?
  3. I have been running my Ryzen 1920x system for over 6 months and have always idled about 32C. Today my PC does not drop below 47C. I am running a gigabyte x399 motherboard, a gtx 1080ti that is idling at 26C currently, 32 gb of trident z memory and an enermax cooler. The 3 fans on the radiator sound like jet engines just to keep the cpu at 47C. Is the cooler going bad or is there any guesses as to why this might be happening all of the sudden?
  4. Do you have a recommendation for what to set the training voltage at? Thanks for the help by the way.
  5. Not running the brand new version but running a newer version that helps with compatibility. The cpu led light is lit most of the time though. Wouldn't a memory issue have the ram led lit. The ram led light only flickers infrequently. Technically the ram sticks that I am using are not on the list of validated sticks but others have used them without issue.
  6. So I have an odd issue that I haven't been able to find anywhere. My computer will work just fine when I power it off and it is a soft power off. When I unplug the computer or turn the psu switch off and try to turn the computer back on is where I have issues. When I turn it on after unplugging or flipping the psu switch the computer will not boot and will have the cpu red led light on and flickers the ram led light. The error codes cycle through different codes and sits there and does not boot. The only solution that I have come up with is to repeatedly hit the reset button on the mobo and eventually will produce the 0d code and power off a few times then will boot just fine and I just have to reset all of my bios settings. Is it the psu or what could be causing this? cpu: amd ryzen threadripper 1920x not over clocked mobo: gigabyte auroras gaming 7 ram: 32 gb trident z 3200 gpu: asus strix 1080 ti oc psu: evga 750 g2 80+ gold
  7. I'll try that thanks!
  8. I don't have another PSU. I also power down the computer and turn the switch off on the psu you think that there is not enough power in the power supply right away to power the cpu. It also did not do this right away it worked just fine for a week with no issues then randomly started doing it after the computer went to sleep and then I woke it back up. Nothing out of the ordinary was done.
  9. I need some help. I have been having an issue with my system. Everything is working just fine and everything is registering, however, when I initially start up I get no post and the cpu-led is lit up and the ram-led flickers. I had the same issue on my previous board and sent it in for a replacement. I have figured out that I can get it to stop doing it if I hit the restart button on the motherboard multiple times quickly. It however has reset the bios. I just flashed to the new f3g bios because I thought maybe it was a bios issue with the previous f2 bios. Once the system is up and running everything is running how it should and temps and speeds are all fine. What could it be and how do I fix this? Do I just get a different brand motherboard or do you think something is wrong with the cpu? Everything runs stable with no overclock on cpu but I did set an xmp profile on the ram however it was doing it before I did that. Any suggestions would help! Thanks! 10. Thanks for the heads up. I looked at all of the pins on both the socket and the chip and everything looks okay no pits or abrasions. I am exchanging the motherboard that I got from amazon and hoping that the motherboard was just defective. If it is not that then I will know something is wrong with the cpu itself and have to try and return that. Thanks for the help.
  11. Yeah was gonna try in the morning just was throwing the question out. It's weird how it would just stop working. I could understand it not working right away but from going from stable to not working when nothing was done out of the ordinary is just strange.
  12. A working threadripper cpu in a AORUS gaming 7 x399 that had been working no problem. After a reset the cpu indicator light turn on and no post. Is it possible that because it is a foxconn socket that the cpu somehow becomes not seated properly and now the system is not working? Has anyone heard of this happening?
