  1. Yup. At least my first gaming PC. I've built office PC's in the past, but that was a good 10 years ago. Assembling parts nowadays seems so much more straightforward.
  2. @Crunchy Dragon @bleedblue Here's an updated Ryzen build, how does that look, rather than my previous one? Price is creeping up, but I can still manage it in my budget, I think. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/TLLbnn
  3. Definitely won't be waiting until April. I'm pulling the trigger on this build on Monday. I've been finding it hard to keep a Ryzen build of any kind within my budget. Any suggestions on what I could substitute if I did want to go with a Ryzen build right now?
  4. Thanks Crunchy! I think it was the other way around though. I needed front USB 3's on the case, rather than USB 3.0 headers on the MOBO, so I've swip swapped the case for a Vortex V4, which supports the 3.0 headers on the motherboard. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/hnJNkT
  5. Hey gang! I've been yearning for a new gaming PC for a few years now, but because I was waiting for permanent residence in Canada, I couldn't pull the trigger until I knew I wouldn't have to move back home to Ireland. Permanent residence came through in November, and now that Christmas is over, I can afford to start ordering parts. I've put together a build that I hope will suit my needs here: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/TzWKPs I tried to keep everything under $1000 CAD including taxes and shipping, but I have absolutely no clue about whether or not the CPU/GPU/Memory is going to create a bottleneck or simply not work with the components I've chosen. I also understand that using the PSU that comes supplied with the case isn't ideal, but it seems like a good way to shave a few dollars off the cost of everything and I'll upgrade it in future. Ideally, I'd love to be able to upgrade parts bit by bit as money becomes available, but would like to start with something relatively manageable. I'll be playing WOW, Diablo 3 and a little PUBG, as well as some light photo, video and audio editing. 3D modelling and rendering would be a bonus too, but I'll be focusing on low poly stuff. Would the CPU/GPU combo be able to handle that? I'd love to get you guys's opinions on this and maybe an alternative build or substitute parts that you think would be better. Many thanks in advance everyone!
