Oh ok cause I recently realised my games keep crashing maybe I need to switch it back to optimal and 80c is reasonable for a gtx 1070 right? I’m just worried about my cpu because I unvolted it (-350) and it still is high temp (95c) but it doesn’t throttle though should I rethermal paste?

Wait why optimal, I use maximum. I meant the cpu reaches 95c and the gpu is around 80 i was trying to decrease the heat from the gpu so I can decrease the overall heat

Anyone did it succesfully? I need some help and advice on it I have a gm501 and it constantly reaches 95+ while gaming even with -350 on cpu

Well I found one for around 120 usd (including gpu and cpu) and I’m doing this for fun Shouldn’t it be the same? Because it’s the same model same chassis just different gpu

As you guys can see on the images below the only difference between the two laptops below is one called uq and ux but the ux has a gtx 950 so it has one more fan and a longer heatsink so my question is if I buy the ux motherboard and swap out the uq motherboard it should work right? and for your information, gpu and cpu goes with the motherboard

There is a k501(gtx 950) so I think I can change my motherboard so I can get the gtx 950 right? If I’m not wrong the cpu and gpu are soldered on it. Currently I have the gt 940mx one
