exactly im looking for something with good battery life, thats why the razer impressed me with getting 6 hours of light use. Yes it is my first year, so would you suggest the dell xps 15 then?? Also as said i do minor gaming, mostly of older games such as the first bioshock. Not sure the gt 750m will be able to handle that though.

hey guys starting university in the fall and need a good laptop for school. My course is electrical engineering. I was originally going to go with something ultra portable like the dell xps 13, however after doing some research i found that for this course i should have a dedicated gpu not to mention at least a quad core processor. So i have been looking into other alternative such as the dell xps 15 with the gt 750m. However not sure if that is enough, because i do hope to do some minor gaming on the side as well.. So now looking into options such as the razer blade 2015 with the gtx 970m, and from what i can tell it gets almost 6 hours of battery life with casual use obviously, which is more than enough i think. Anyways if anyone has any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Oh and budget is like 2000-3000.

hey guys im looking for a good stand alone mic for gaming, that's good at reducing background noise as well. My budget is around 200-300 and was looking at the blue yeti pro after seeing Linus's review on it. I use iem and speakers for gaming not over ears so i cant get a mod mic, so please ONLY stand alone mics. Would love to hear some input, thanks.

i just ran the test for more than 2hours and no bsod does that mean its not my hardware?

im currently running the occt cpu:linkpack test ill let you know if i get the bsod

well i ran memtest86 yesterday and got two errors on test 6, sio im pretty sure its my ram

i just enabled the XMP setting

yes i did flash the bios but that was when i built it which was months ago if that means anything. But yes most of my recent problems have been with my memory so ill try what you said

lol i was just reading that exact thing, but for the button on the back of the mobo do i just click it or do i shut down the computer first and the displays. Also im running a asus rampage iv gene meaning that i had to update the bios in order for my 4930k to work with by doing this will have to update it again???? cause it was a bitch.

how do you clear the cmos?

Hey guys, when i leave my computer on say for the night and come back to it in the morning, my screens wont display anything even though the computer is on and the monitors are on. So i shut it down and when it restarts it says overclocking failed press f1 to continue to make me go into the bios. However i havent overclocked anything, my ram is even at 1333. Any ideas??? specs- asus rampage iv gene 4930k 16gb corsair vengeance 2133 r9 295x2 ax1500i samsung evo 1tb

i dont have any other ram. How do i make sure that it is the ram before i go through the hassle of replacing it

k but im wondering if it is the ram since the error says cpu, also if it needs to be replaced
