It's deff the internals , it's got a decent fuse from what I was able to to see, I did want to make sure nothing looked melty , the smell is more and more faint but honestly just smells like warm plastic when I push the card , I'ma just advantage it's winter place it closer to the window and sell the card maybe get an rx 580

It's not any of the cables or adapters , those are no longer generating heat , the smell is coming from the psu if I put my nose where the hot air comes out of it's where it will smell the most , how ever the smell is not as strong as when I had first had it set up , but it still smells a bit after an hour or so of cod , I've been monitoring and as far as heat goes Its much better after the changes I made with the cabling , the smell still freaks me out I'm thinking about getting my money back on the psu and selling the 780ti bit then I'd only have my vega 8 graphics and I like the higher resolution and fps , decisions decisions

Once I used the native 8 pin and the 2 molex to 8 pin it's all much better , and no I cannot localize I'll put my nose right on the psu and nothing , but the smell will very subtly linger in the room , no cables are hot anymore though so that's good?

Just got a gtx 780ti because it was a really good deal had to buy a new psu to go with it bought a case cheeta series 800 watt psu and started gaming , at first I used just the one 8 pin cable with an adapter to make it 2 8 pins and right away everything got hot the psu and the cables , since then I use the 8;pin and an adapter to use the molex connectores to an additional 8 pin the card runs better nothing gets hot anymore but after 25 mins I'll get a slight plastic smell like the old xbox 360 , is that normal it's very faint Please no negative comments on my pc ik it's a honda civic shit box but if it runs it runs

Update got my money back went to the mexican site mercado libre and the next day i got my rx 480 and i cant stop playing assasins creed odyssey,

I do not understand the point of you contacting me was, all i got was an email saying that the refund was processed, I already knew that it was in the original story you guys really are useless, im giving my money to amazon

So mexican addresses are a bitbweird yes, on a local bill for example my water bill i get a simple street name number building number and apt number, but when u request shipping from companies i need all that and zip code colony district state cross streets and sometimes even point of reference i checked multiple sources just to confirm it all lined up, mexico isnt as well structured as the us when it comes to addresses, my main consern was that it was just flat out rejected after they took my money and then just refunded it, it should been handled differently for example having some kind of check to make sure it could be done before my money was taken or they could have offered to fix the address, send it to a new one, or even send to a near by shipping facility near me for me to pick up, this was a birthday gift from my dad it was supposed to finish my build and have me gaming but now its just this ordeal that ends with me having to wait up to 30 days to see my money reflect,

I went ahead and sent u that email withball requested info, but honestly ive been looking at a few used 480 and 580 s in my area its been been way too long already i just want to game i wanted the 570 because that red devil color would have gone great with my new build

I used to have 1.8in ssd ( ill attach a picture) anyway i uses it an an old optiplex and on my first janky core 2 quad build it ran fine all i did was wrap one side of it in electrical tape and held it down by the cables with masking tape to make sure only thw side with electical tape made contact with anything else

I did with google maps and with uber and my water bill... Doesnt matter they didnt even give me the option to correct the adress they just told there would be a refund,

Hey ltt group just here to give my 2 cents like jay, its my birthday in February so my dad sent me a little cash and I decided to buy an rx 570 red dragon 4gb from new egg, im from Guadalajara mexico, Mexico was on the sites world wide shipping awesome!! I even got it on sale everything was looking good for an updated build from my r9 280, but out of the blue today a few days after the original purchase I got 3 emails from newegg back to back letting me know 1 there was an error with my address, ok i can call and fix that, 2 that they were gonna be sending and rma and 3 that it was already back a facility and i could expect a refund after 3-5 buissness days, i waited in chat for about 2 hours, i was number 80 just to be told they dont know what went wrong with my address... I now have to wait to get my money back and buy somewhere else defenetly not recommended

Hello everyone im hoping someone could help with this issue, i had given my girlfriend and ok hp compaq with a core 2 duo so she could play some basic games we put in there a 610 graphics card and she was ready for top of the line gaming 30 fps a 720p on runescape and sims 4 along with aome emulators lol everything was fine she recently moved to a new house ( older house) and she told me she no longer was getting able tobuse the computer, i checked it out and it almost appeared as if the GPU was dead so i took it to my house and it ran just fine besides some thermal issues i took care of by replacing the fan and thermal paste, put an old ssd i no longer use and put on windows 7 and ibstakled all drivers and though we were good to go but i brought it back and again same issue no display connected, can it be bad wiring?

update i ended up doing buissness again with the guy that sold it to me and there was an issue witht the card and traded it for another one so issue resolved thanks for all of the info an help Streetguru

its a very long story man its mostly been a financial limitation so this is just a some what ok for the price card i found on facebook and i know it works seeing as it does display, but im not familiar with gnu or linux any versions you would recommend ?

Helo guys im new here fresh from youtube seeking help, this battle started about 2 weeks ago i purchased a graphics card to help with my ricer build a project i had as a response to the sleeper build Linus posted. I purchased a used Nvidia 9 series 9400 gt , i then installed into my Asus h61m-k with a intel celeron cpu g1610 2.6 ghz dual core , windows 7 64 bit operating system and 8 gb of ddr3. now everything i have tried i also attempted on a freshly installed version of windows vista x64 , thats right i danced with the devil to try to get this solved. for starters i made sure all drivers were properly installed with my mother board all lan pci chipset drivers i attempted both directly with asus and then with programs such as driver max free version. once all proper motherboard drivers where installed i placed the card in the pci 3.0 slot connected the card to my monitor and booted up as normal the card self installed and asked for a reboot when i would reboot it would no longer display windows but boot menu and other functions where there i had to go to system restore to be able to boot up again, i then downloaded the latest nvidia drivers but it would pull the old drivers by them self rather geforce experience would auto installl wich let to the same result restart and no windows until system restore and back to 0 i did run applicatons to remove integrated grapics un instelled reinstalled , i tried again with older versions on the drivers from nvidia i then attepted again with windows vista and even when installing drivers it would show the display but i would have a yellow triangle with an exclamation point and could never run games , ive gone threw many youtube tutorials theres little info on the card ill have pictures attached soon but i hope someone can give me an idea of whats going on , and when i say that it wont boot up when the card is installed is that i get an error screen asking me to remove previously installed hardware. thanks reading my post and try not to mock my pc too bad its all i have :'(
