  1. I want everything, documents, pictures, software etcetc
  2. Yes, basically mirror the existing HDD in my laptop to i.e an external drive, so the school can format the laptop HDD and then copy it back from the external drive to the clean hdd with either win7 or win8.1 not sure yet, got win 8.1 atm at least.
  3. Hello guys, i'm not quite sure if this is the right category anyway, i'll keep my school laptop except software on it now when i've finish school. lets cut to the chase. So i have a laptop i've got from my school which is going to be formated (school policy wont keep software as Photoshop etc. just OS and the PC itself) So, whats the easiest way to keep this? would i be able to just copy the whole disk to a folder for example to an external drive then after the format (performed by the school) i just plug the HDD in my private pc and move the files from the pre-formated hdd which are on my external drive. then just boot it? Or will there be corruption? TL;DR, want to keep my school laptop as it is (with software etc) in the easiest way possible, mandatory formating of hdds performed by the school. Also, here is my apology for poor grammar/spelling, thanks
  4. It stopped "clicking" so i'm happier than i have ever been in me life LEL
  5. Well i tried the other pci-e slot and it worked -.- but now something else has occurred the either the fan (prolly) is making some wierd clicky noice i recorded it quite bad but in the end you hear it quite well. (sound here)
  6. I didn't even thought about this, well im goin to try it out now.
  7. With my economy atm its quite hard, and since like all my friends cant even play League of Legends and other shitty games on low its not so easy, also those who i know with better pcs arent home or lives about 20 miles from me, so i cant really do this right now. But yeah, i will try this when its possible.
  8. Oh thanks, i forgot that -.- Thats not funny im quite sad over this
  9. So there is a 8pin and a 6pin on the card I've tried plugged both with and without the 6 to 8 pin adapted and every possible way with my PSU. And nope, i havent tried someone else's PSU (And i prolly wont be able to do that for at least 2-3 days)
  10. This topic is quite SOLVED thought another issue has occurred, the card is now "clicking" (sound here) Hello, ill make this story as short as possible and still give you as much information as needed. Okay, so i received my PowerColor Radeon R9 280x 3GB TurboDuo OC in the mail and as soon i plugged it in, connected the necessary cables, started the computer i noticed i didnt get any signal. So here i will type the necessary information you guys might need to help me solve this problem. I've sent powercolor an email about this, the said i should try to update bios, and i dont think thats quite necessary since its almost the latest version and in the "update log"-thing on msi's website there arent written anything about some graphics card relevant updates in newer ones. The also told "If possible, please try plug this card into a Win8 ready system to check this card can work normal or not. If it can work, it may be graphic card UEFI function has compatibility problem with MB BIOS." Since i dont have a "Win8 ready system" to check this card on i cant quite do this. Also, If it would've worked on a "win8 ready system" how could i fix this thing? It could be that my 600w psu isnt enough but, since its labeled MINIMUM 500w i'd guess it would work. The fans on the card are spinning so that is a good sign. PowerColor Radeon R9 280x 3gb <- click for specs.
