  1. Hey fellas, I need some help. I need to buy a new monitor, and I'm not a fan of dual monitor setups as well. Since I live in Macedonia, the amount of monitors I can choose from is fairly limited. At the moment I'm looking between Dell U3417W, versus the ASUS MX34VQ. I was mainly hyped towards the Dell one, but the backlight bleed that users report are becoming a deal breaker for me. Since I mainly do photography, and a bit of video, that backlight bleed can really throw off my photos. However, one of the shops here has the ASUS MX34VQ in stock, and for a fairly decent price (since most of the things in my country are overpriced as hell). Now the dilemma is, the DELL is an IPS display, with over 99% sRGB coverage. The ASUS is a VA panel, but it also has sRGB over 99% coverage. I'm not sure about the AdobeRGB coverage on both monitors, I hope some of you could shed some light on that as well. Back on point, since both monitors in theory should have the same amount of gamut coverage, would the VA panel preform as good as the IPS on the Dell? I mean, does it change anything picture quality wise having the IPS from the Dell over the VA on the ASUS? As a bonus point, the ASUS has 100hz refresh rate, and a wireless charging dock (which is a cool feature tbh). Also, can the ASUS be calibrated decently (I don't know whether/and how much VA panels can be calibrated, since I don't know much about VA panels in general)? Thanks!
