  1. Well I couldn't figure out a safe way to make my own relocation brackets, so I ordered the amazon basics arm. Saw someone else using that arm on this monitor with success. I wont want it raised up off the desk surface anyway, so im not worries much about the weight. I ordered one of those vesa 100 to 200 brackets. Hopefully that works. I might have to drill a hole in my desk though which I am not pleased about...

    DELL vs. LG

I moved a black terminal window around, it just has a slight effect due to the 60fps frame rate I assume, but nothing that I would call trailing. I have a decent 27" 1440 panel next to it and it doesn't act much different. I think these huge high res monitors could show a problem a lot more easily. Any visual abnormality at all would show up really well. So far I haven't noticed anything.

    DELL vs. LG

How long does it take to notice ghosting? I've only had my lg 43 for a few days, but I have had windows in the same spot for the entire time, when I move them I don't see anything sticking. So far I am really pleased with this display. Easier on the eyes than I thought it would be. Fatigue and eye strain are important to me.
  4. Yes, you are correct. It's a TV.. ha. Even the mount you listed wont exactly work because this uses the larger 200m vesa mount. It's too bad that they didn't just include height adjust on this. I may try and fabricate something that is vesa-to-vesa and just shifts it down 2". If anyone has ideas for how to do that, im open to ideas also. I really do think this setup will be perfect with just a tweak. When I use it in standing mode, its perfect, my elbows are bent the correct amount and my face is centered in the screen. The PPI is perfect and I can spread everything out. I can sit ~32" away from it and not see any pixels at all, while reading this exact forum font size without any trouble. (I should note that UHD @ 60hz and the other aspects of this panel are ideal for me, but I don't play games on this setup. This is for work in the software industry) Thanks for the ideas guys.
  5. I bought a LG 43UD79-B 43" IPS monitor to replace my aging Dell 30" 3007wfp. I love that I can run 4k unscaled and it looks fantastic. Even with the backlight down at 37%, its flicker free (it is pwm). It feels like having an ultrawide, but with another 5" of display stacked on top. I admit I probably wont use the top pixels as much, but for watching video and productivity, this thing is amazing. I have it on a 48" wide varidesk (standing desk that sits on your desk). I think if this monitor was flat on my desk, the height would be pretty good, but since the varidesk raises it up a few inches, I need to lower the display. The stand it came with is solid, but has no height adjustment. So I am looking for a way to just lower it 2" Does anyone know of a 200mm x 200mm vesa bracket that either. 1. adapts vesa to vesa and just shifts or offsets the mount location down (I may build this from hardware to try if I can't find one) or 2. A reasonably priced, simple, desk standing height adjustable vesa mount that works with these larger displays? I don't need a fully adjustable arm or anything that requires drilling the desk. Thanks in advance for any help. 27" 1440 display on the left, the 43" on the right (its powered by a newer touchbar macbook pro via usb-c to displayport, 4k@60fps)
