OK new and think I goofed. will a 7700k on a z170 mobo be able to boot and install an OS so I can after update the BIOs? been buying the parts as money came in and after a year now have all the parts but before I put together I have concerns and asking before I take said steps. I bought the mobo first which is a g1 gigabyte and after when I heard the I7 7700 can be used I went and got that not knowing that a BIOs update was needed. so do I need to update the mobo 1st or can I do this another way like installing a boot drive and then updating the BIOs?? thank you in advance from the Biggest noob with a lack of a few brain cells
