  1. I've never seen that site before, so I don't really know what to say about that. If you sold the cpu and motherboard, you could possibly afford to get an i5 3570k and a z77 motherboard. This would be a massive upgrade over FX at not much expense, as you could probably get that combo for around $170, and the gaming performance would be a lot better. Or an i7 3770 (non-K) with a cheaper motherboard would set you back around the same. If not, the 8350 will be a good upgrade but $115 is a little bit steep for what it is
  2. With the current prices, there's not much of a point in upgrading to any of those cards, they're all ridiculously overpriced for the performance they give. At MSRP, the 1060 and RX 580 are neck and neck, but the 8GB of VRAM would make it the better choice. Both of those should be able to hit 60fps high, as your cpu will start to bottleneck them at 1080p. The 1050ti is less of an issue price-wise, but it's still too much for the performance it gives. Hope that helps a bit
  3. It would be an upgrade, but not a brilliant one. The whole 8320/8350/8370 are all basically the same performance wise, other than a couple hundred mHz. At $115, that's not a great deal but if its all you can afford then it would be a decent upgrade
  4. If you're looking for a drop-in upgrade, the 8370 is about as good as it will get on the AM3+ socket. If you can save for a couple months, sell the 6300, board and ram and get something like an r5 1400 with 8gb of ram. Would smash any FX cpu for not much more money.
  5. Yeah, if you can afford to stretch to a ryzen chip, the gains will be incredible, and future upgrades are also a thing to consider
  6. Yeah, seeing as that saved money could help towards a new monitor, would probably be the best bet to go for a 980ti. Thanks
  7. I've recently been building my new rig, the only part left to upgrade other than the monitor is my GPU. The 960 is still okay for 1080p 60hz but I'm looking at a 1440p 60hz panel as an upgrade. The 980ti is currently around £280-£320 and the cheapest new 1070 is £380. Is it worth the extra £100, or should I take a 980ti and save some money? UPDATE: I got an MSI 980ti for £290, was definitely the better choice with the whole cryptocurrency debacle right now. Thanks!
