Hi GGscott999,
I will need a little more information before I can begin to help you with your problem. Have you overclocked the system at all or taken any component beyond its factory limits? In most cases similar to yours it is a simple matter of making sure that you have the correct and latest drivers installed. Check on your motherboard manufactures website and download any drivers that you may not have. To check this I suggest that you right click my computer and choose manage, from there click device manager and ensure that no yellow exclamation marks appear, if there are any download the corresponding driver from the manufactures website.
In some cases these symptoms can also arise if you have an older bios version, it is worth checking on the manufactures website to see if a later version of your motherboards bios has been released. Flashing/updating a bios isn't something that is required often or something that is used commonly to solve issues so I recommend you follow the steps above first. Please respond with your findings and I will attempt to aid you further once I have some more information. Best of luck.
