  1. Looking for a 4k TV for under £1,800. Only requirement is crisp image quality.. my previous TV is a LG 4k 65 inch one from over 5 years ago for around £1,600 which got smashed due to my sibling so we need a new one for the living room. Any advice would be appreciated, I've also been looking at OLED panel TV's since their image quality seems to be the most crisp. Also I'm from the UK so there's only certain models here. The purpose isn't for gaming or anything, just watching TV series/movies at crisp quality.
  2. Lol I completely forgot about Reddit
  3. For people that may be interested about the work: New carpets being put in, grey colour. Kinda painted the wood pillars white... and can't really paint wood again on top cos it's too thin and it's like a stain so I'll paint that grey and also that wall section on the far back grey too. Gaming setup will go on the left side of the door which fits a 160cm desk. Dual monitor setup, still planning on where to put a TV. Auto blinds for the Velux window. Put clothes railings on the right side. Change the lights and get a track lighting system with 3 or 4 bulbs and use Phillips Hue for RGB control. Open to any suggestions, more pics being put down below. The desk will be going on the far right side, I've made another post asking for desk suggestions and I've gotten recommended a worktop from Amazon so I'll be getting that. That's the max length I can get a desk until it hits the pillar and behind that pillar will be the bed. The measurement is taken from the wall where the plug socket is just on the above pic. So yeah, open to any suggestions to make the place look far better.. roomy and modern.
  4. Probably gonna be hilarious seeing this on a tech forum but here we go.... Right so I'm moving up into an attic and looking for a bed, was gonna get a TV bed initially but they're very expensive like £1,200 minimum for one that fits a 43" screen.... but I've seen on ebay if I just went for a regular double bed it's faaaaar cheaper like less than half the price and I could just mount the TV on the attic slope instead. I have no idea what sort of frame to get, the shorter the better, if it has storage okay fair enough but it's fine without. Only requirement is.. nice headboard that isn't solid pretty much. The shorter the height the better since it's going in the attic as seen in the image below. Seen some good ones on eBay but haven't made up my mind. £450 budget max. Area is gonna look small on the pic but it's quite bigger irl, the bed will go on the far end. Yeah place is work in progress but it'll look way better when it's done. Measurements I've got to play with is basically 160cm for width and 235cm for length max for the bed itself. Examples of what I've found so far: Both of these are under £250.
  5. I'll go for the Amazon one, thanks.
  6. I've been looking at the Ikea Karlby but it's not solid wood. I'm looking for something solid wood, not too expensive like under the £200 mark. I'd get adjustable legs for it too or use IKEA Alex as long as it can fit my chair underneath if need be? Max length I can allow is just about 160cm (From the UK if that matters) Any suggestions?
  7. ALIENWARE 27 GAMING MONITOR - AW2721D seems perfect for me.
  8. Thanks for the suggestions, not sure if 32 inch is too big.. especially if I'm playing games like CS:GO.. only DMG rank not like I'm a professional player it's more so just for fun but still.... main game that's why I limited myself to 27 inch. Currently have a 25.
  9. Full PC specs: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/mspZkX Looking for a monitor to play games on and also use to watch movies since I don't have space for a TV. Wondering if there's a difference in picture when I compare a 1440p 240hz and 4k 144hz, I sit very close to the monitor. 27 inch is a requirement and IPS panel prefered since it's crisp. Any monitor recommendations to watch movies and play games on too? Budget £1,000-
  10. Eufy 2k one of the best wireless door bells? Kinda wanna get into a full ecosystem otherwise get the Eufy 2k doorbell then get Arlo 4K or something for the CCTV Not sure about Ring heard the video quality is dog shite Gonna pair it with an Alexa/echo show + phone. Edited to mark as solved: Ended up with a Ring system. Video Doorbell Pro 2 and Floodlight Cam Wired Pro but haven't gotten to wire it up yet, needs professional installation and messing with the consumer unit which I won't do.
  11. I guess it's a dead bus?
  12. I've got a Asus ROG Crosshair VII Formula X570 motherboard, getting "Code B1, Detect HDD" on the small screen. Checked the motherboard manual and it states the code means "Runtime Set Virtual Address MAP End" Detect HDD I believe refers to memory/storage. I have checked them both on my old PC and they work fine, lets me download Windows etc. I have done CMOS on my new PC's motherboard, reseated the ram 1 by 1 in each slot and still didn't fix the problem. My storage/memory are both being recognised in the bios. I'm using M.2 NVME's also, I've tested with SATA SSD and it's still being recognised. When I built my PC a month back I had the same problem which was fixed by reseating the ram 1 by 1 in each slot until it let me download Windows ever since then every week I've been getting blue screens at random times then I gotta restart my PC. Yesterday I had enough then reseated the RAM then I couldn't even do anything anymore, Detect HDD errors. I got the C Drive M.2 NVME and I formatted it on my old PC and that didn't work either. I've been stuck on "Preparing Automatic Repair" or some crap and then when I boot I just get stuck on the ROG logo and nothing else happens. On my mini display it says I'm in the bios. The blue screens I've got while using the PC normally at random times is irql_not_less_or_equal and System Thread Exception Not Handled. I can either send it in to a repair shop.. which will probs cost me sh!t tons or I can just sell the mobo and get a cheaper one as I wasn't using open loop watercooling so there's no point with such a high end motherboard. RMA could be an option but I heard ASUS is annoying to deal with. Edited to mark as resolved: I've RMA'ed the Ryzen 9 5900x and it was the CPU causing the issue. They've replaced it for me.
  13. Flipped the display on the cooler, only thing that I'm waiting for now is 3080ti/super to release then my build is complete.
  14. I ended up buying Sabrent Rocket Q4 4TB NVME M.2.
  15. I don't require any backups, I use Google Drive to backup my password database and encrypted private files. But yeah I recon the 870 QVO 4TB would do great. Thanks.
  16. Looks great, same speed and just a bit cheaper than the WD Blue 4TB above. This should be fine I assume.
  17. 3 Main PC Second PC used by family Laptop used by family for homework
  18. I found this SSD: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Blue-NAND-Internal-Inch-SATA/dp/B07QV3XGCP/ WD Blue 3D NAND Internal SSD 2.5 Inch SATA - 4 TB 560 MB/s Read and 530 MB/s Write. I may get this one unless anyone has an objection?
  19. Great! Do you have any recommendations for a 4TB sata? Fast load time of course.
  20. I wouldn't suppose so, nvme ssd or sata ssd is both fine. Infact sata ssd is far cheaper but I didn't find a good enough 4TB one that'll boot me into games fast and comparable to nvme ssd.
  21. Hello, I'm looking for a 4TB SSD/NVME M.2 to store my primary files and games and want to load into games faster. My system will not be having any HDD's. Would appreciate any recommendations, something fast and under.. £650. Hope you guys can help, thank you. 22. Thanks lads will stay with Ryzen, currently got AMD Ryzen 5 1600 so it needs an upgrade. Don't wanna get Ryzen 9 though it's rather overkill imo
  23. Just think 5900x would be rather overkill..
