  1. @Vinod Bahadur Thapa Using the main jQuery library is fine (for selectors) however avoid using animation in JS at all. You can get by with CSS animations for the most part. JS animations are horribly inefficient and especially with a lot of them onscreen at once you will get noticeable slowdown. Also take in to consideration that most dev shops have moved away from jQuery for anything other than legacy projects. Perhaps look into learning React or Angular 2 (which uses jQLite under the hood)!
  2. @brob Ya I think I will wait and see what happens at CES in the new year. It is just around the corner. In the mean time I may just get NZXT S340 case and give this old PC a face lift.
  3. @TheGlenlivet Ryzen is in the plans for the complete rebuild!
  4. Good point, ya my psu sort of scares me, will definitely upgrade it if I upgrade the gpu. I don't know what I was thinking when I originally built this computer.
  5. That's what I've been leaning towards, my fear is 1180 get's announced at CES and the it will be a significant upgrade with the new Vega architecture.
  6. Hard to say without more details? BSOD or just straight crash? I had an issue where something similar would happen to me it seemed pretty random at first. I eventually pinned it down to one of my USB ports being fried. Whenever I would pluged something into it (a controller or something) it would eventually crash.
  7. Hey folks, I've been scouring the internet for answers and have yet to find a satisfactory one. I am currently debating whether or not I should upgrade or just bite the bullet and do a complete rebuild. I'll link my current build along with my possible upgrade path and complete rebuild. I am leaning towards the upgrade path, and slowly buying all the parts for a new the build. What I really want to know is will I be bottlenecked by my current mb/cpu/ram combo? Will it really be worth it to throw a 1080 in my current PC? Current Build https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/tgZzm8 Upgrade Build https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/Zjz72R Rebuild https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/rWjhnn Some requirements 1080p gaming would like to transition to 1440p >60fps on Ultra or High in above resolutions Needs to be able to handle everything from Civ to Star Citizen (one day, maybe... hopefully) Thanks!
