Okay so I got a squier on Facebook marketplace for £10 which is a real fucking steal ik. It was in shite condition so I replaced the pic guard and installed a humbucker because I prefer the sound of it. It came out superb, sounds exactly like the guitar used for in utero, Its been my best guitar yet... however when I bought it the second tone knob was missing, not just the plastic thing, the whole fucking knob, all was left was the internals for it. Soon I’m going to be installing an artec QDD distortion board into it but I was thinking seeing as the second tone knob is gone lol I could just put it there instead of drilling a new hole in the pic guard, the only problem being that the two tone knobs are connected I know a little bit about soldering and wiring but quite inexperienced. Do you think I’d be able to just unsolder it and relocate the wires or would it just be best to rotate it and move it out of the way lol. I’ve attached some reference images. Thanks :)

I havent even installed anything lol, I'm trying to install the blizzard launcher. also nothing apears in task manager

I'm trying to install overwatch but whenever I try to launch the blizzard set up to even install the launcher the program opens then immediately closes. I've tried running it as an administrator, I've tried running it in compatibility mode. It doesnt even give me an error it just opens for a couple miliseconds and closes, I've also tried just the overwatch set up and that did the same thing hellllllllppppppppppppppppppppppppp Battle.net*

So I'm fairly new to crypto mining and seeing as I upgraded recently to a 970 from a 1030 (wise choice btw) I wanted to see if I could crypto mine, specifically etherium. I'm using claymores for mining and ethermine for my pool. Whenever I try to start it tho I get "CUDA error - cannot allocate big buffer for DAG. Check readme.txt for possible solutions." , I've tried increasing my page file beyond 16gb, didnt do shit, I've tried DEF, didnt do shit. Helpppp meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Mac os X yosemite from hackintosh zone. after troubleshooting for 3 days trying to get it to even boot it finally reached the install screen and well... It's been installing since 9pm, It's now 1am and it's still on 2 minutes remaining what do you mean. The mouse is movable so it aint crashed

So I've been playing a lot of pcvr lately playing games like beat saber and jet island (using quest via link) and I've been looking for a way to record myself in 3rd person. seeing as I'm only using a quest I have no base stations or vive trackers ect ect. my webcam is from 2003 so that wont be any good any way to use my iphone 6s? or if there's a software alterative that just records me in game from 3rd person then that's aight

For some reason as soon as I boot up into windows my intel stock cooler decides to fucking take off, I can usually fix this by stopping everything in task manager and not use anything but that’s no fun. I measured the temps on afterburner and it says I’m reaching 60c at idle. I recently cleaned it and changed the thermal paste after upgrading to a gtx 970 (looked hella dusty in there so I did some spring cleaning) and even now it’s still doing it, any way to fix this (I’m rocking an i7 870 so old hardware ig) or am I gonna have to break the bank, also if you do put cooler suggestions down be aware they’re gonna have to be small because there ain’t much room in there (enough for the intel fan to blow air out tho so don’t bring it up)

So I never actualy owned an xbox 360, my introduction to minecraft started in 2014 on the pocket edition, however I still have vibes for the xbox 360 edition, I remember going round friends houses to play and I remember watching people like stampy. Idk why but ive always prefered the xbox 360 edition. However after searching for ages online I can't find the iso for it (yes I'm a filthy pirate so what). Are there any mods for java that sorta replicate its vibe?

I've had an afx LM0216 for about 6 years now and I still love it, it has 7 mapable keys, Incredibly well engineered mapping software and the mice in school feel like absolute dog shit compared to it. I got it for £4 in the bargain bin in pc world and oh boi was it well worth it. Anywho I was at my friends house the other.... month... and he had some old logitech mouse he got from his dad and it was eh. However the one feature that stood out was the fact it had a mode where the scroll wheel would spin without limitation. now me who got my mouse out of the fucking bargain bin was amazed that this thing could ever exist. Anyway back to the point. Are there any cheaply priced mice with atleast 7 extra keys that can be software mapped to separate things (I got ctrl c ctrl v mapped to the side buttons for web use on my current mouse) and that has the "free scroll" thanks xx

I look at lowspecgamer as a role model for this sorta stuff, I saw how well he managed to get skyrym vr to work on a 1050 which was main inspiration to get a quest in the first place seeing as oculus link was announced around the same time I watched it. also there was no fps skips or frame drops when I tried it on the wmr headset, infact it ran over 100 fps which I didnt expect

So basically I'm trying to do oculus link on a GT 1030 now hear me out, since the last post I did on this my friend got a wmr headset and tested it on my machine and minecraft vr worked flawlessly with optifine Installed and some graphics settings lowered so I know it is possible and heavily playable so no replies saying don't bother. yada yada yada My graphics card ain't on the list for oculus link so I can't play using my quest and I have no money to upgrade to a 970 due to this fucking pandemic, any recommendations on how I can spoof my hardware to make the oculus software think I got a 2080 or something lol.

Since I was little there’s been this noise in my head that I could control, idk how to describe it but it’s almost like there’s a muscle in my head I can control which makes these noises, it also happens if my close my jaw really tightly and close my eyelids really tightly (without scrunching em) anybody know what this is, whenever I look it up online all I find is titinitus which probably isn’t the case as everyone’s ears ring now and then. The sound is like an incredibly low F# (lower than capable on piano). Anybody recognise this?

so I'm trying to replace my boot logo using the legacy boot method and its going swell until I try to sign my boot.dll using signer on which at that point it asks me to connect a smart card, now I've tried the "gpedit.msc" method and it does not work, any suggestions. using this vid as a tutorial:
