1. Budget & Location
Budget: Around $1300 (preferably lower)
Location: United States
2. Aim
Gaming:
From games like CS:GO to PUBG, Fortnite, Rocket League, and Elderscrolls V
3. Monitors
As of right now I have a 24' 2ms 60hz monitor that I use for my Mac Mini, but I plan to upgrade either to an Asus VG278Q or and Asus VG245H after the build is complete and use my Samsung S24D300H as a secondary monitor.
4. Peripherals
I Have a Razer Blackwidow Chroma and a Razer Mamba, so peripherals wont be an issue, but I do need a new OS considering I am upgrading from a mac. I was looking at Windows 10 pro 64bit, because my friend has a copy he could sell to me for $50.
5. Why are you upgrading?
I am primarily upgrading because after upgrading the mac OS to 10.13 High Sierra, I can no longer run many games like CS:GO (used to get 50+ frames on lowest in-game settings and now only get 10) and running more than one app at a time kills the computer (even though it has 16 gigs of ddr4).
Not only am I upgrading because of the speed, but I am also wanting to get a PC because many of the games I would like to run are not compatible with a mac.
The build that I have setup right now's specs go as follows:
CPU - Ryzen 1600x
CPU Fan - Hyper 212 EVO
Motherboard - MSI b350 Tomahawk
RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws
Storage - 2x WD 1tb Blue Drives (To run in RAID 0)
GPU - MSI Geforce GTX 1070ti
Case - NZXT H440
PSU - EVGA SuperNOVA 650W 80+ Gold FM
OS - Windows 10 PRO 64-bit
I am thinking I might add a 140gig SSD to the build for the OS and maybe some games, but I am not sure that is worth the extra $90.
Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions because I am hoping to order a big chunk of parts before the new year
