  1. So i'm deciding on G.Skill ripjaws ram by recommendation. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231489 and also for heatsink, decided on the noctua 14U also, more organized post by using the guideline: 1. Budget & Location 2,000 USD 2. Aim Using the pc for school, watching videos, regular web surfing and gaming. Main game that i play on the regular is 'Tera: rising' and also aiming for future-proof games, other games i'm thinking about play like the new batman orgin, battlefield 4, need for speed games. 3. Monitors 1 24' monitor by asus, and thinking about having it connect to a TV via HDMI, VGA perhaps. 4. Peripherals I am currently using xp pro and upgrading to win 7 pro 64bit, i'm avoiding window 8 due to reading reviews. i have a mouse and thinking about upgrading a keyboard if i have left over from my budget, currently the keyboard is 'razer tarantula". 5. Why are you upgrading? I am upgrading because my pc is outdated, 5-6years ago it was built. need it to be future-ish proof or can at least last me another 5-6years. another question, my currently Power supply is 620W by corsair, will i be able to reuse it or its better to get a new power supply? 2. since i already ahve 240GB sdd evo, and thinking about having another 2-3 HDD for storage, it was mention 850W is overkill, maybe 750W? 3. any recommendation? anything you might want to take out/put in? thanks again
  2. Hi everyone and happy new year. I am using an outdated desktop computer at the moment and its time to upgrade. i have a budget of 2k and not a penny more. Q.Q anyways, i'm having a harder time to pick out the parts for this build for some reason, perhaps you can guys help. so far, this is what i have in mind. Sabertooth z87 motherboard i5 4670k Fractal R4 case w/ window evga GTX 770 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130921 corsair 850W GOLD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151102 240GB ssd samsung drive windows 7 64bit i can't decide on what ram goes with this motherboard as for the heatsink, i want noctua but i dunno which since there are so many difference kinds. I'm just planning on use for everything computer things like surf the web/youtube..etc/ school and play games (not a hugh gamer) but still would like a quality build for newer games. so some question off the top of my head, 1. would you consider this an high end build, not necessary an enthusaist build? 2. should i get a sound card and if so, what are good sound cards? 3. am i missing anything? besides monitor/mouse/keyboard. 4. initially i wanted to go for the radeon r9 290 when it was $400 and all of sudden it jump up an extra 130, all i heard was coin mining, what is that? 5. is my power supply more than enough? 6. what ram should i get? and do i need more than 16GB? Thanks in advance.
