  1. I have a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3050 OC 8G that I overclocked to about ~2167Mhz max power limit, stable on MSI afterburner. Any more and it'll start crashing. However, the cooling performance on the card is fantastic, and I want to overvolt the GPU to get some more performance out of it. I'm not sure what I need to modify to get around the power limit.
  2. I recently got a new SSD to replace my very small 120gb SSD. I want to be able to use the old 120gb SSD as cache for my HDDs. Is any Software available to do this for free? Thanks!
  3. I'm using raid 5, idk why I entered raid 0 I never knew the processor came with a cooler.
  4. I'll take those RAM sticks into consideration. But why would I need a different motherboard? Let alone a Graphics card? It's just a server, not a gaming PC Plus I'm staying with that case, I need it compact and it's a perfect size. I could add an SSD for additional Cache. But as for now, I'm not that worried about it.
  5. Anything lower then 400W gets a bit sketchy on the brand types and the same price anyway. I am planning on hosting some things like; ELDewrito (Halo 3 online) Minecraft Some CS:GO A few other non-game related things I also wanted to try and to use it as a local backup for my network I will be using Linux Ubuntu server (With GUI support) I am planning on using this in a RAID 5 format. EDIT: Not using RAID 0 (Typo) The only concerns that I have with the build are; Will the CPU cooler be too wide and hit the clearance of the RAM sticks (I plan on adding more ram in the future)? Do I have enough airflow through the case? It comes with Two fans on the front and one on the back with vents for the power supply I believe. I personally think it should be okay. Also just a thought, I do a lot of video editing, is it possible to share server CPU power with my main PC over ethernet while rendering a video? Thanks!
  6. Do you have a motherboard you can recommend me? I'd like to stay with a Micro ATX just because I found a really nice case for me, but I have the option to go to a bigger ATX
  7. I'm building a server for hosting games like; Eldewrito (Halo 3 for PC), Minecraft, Gmod, and Possibly CS:GO. But also for just storing my videos. I'm sure a 5,400 RPM is fine for that purpose. Here are the specs for said build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/TOG_WAS_HERE/saved/DMYTBm CPU: AMD - FX-8350 4GHz 8-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Cooler Master - DK9-7G52A-0L-GP 27.1 CFM Rifle Bearing CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus - M5A78L-M PLUS/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard Memory: Corsair - XMS3 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory Storage: Kingston - A400 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital - Red 4TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive Storage: Western Digital - Mainstream 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Case: Nanoxia - Deep Silence 4 (Black) MicroATX Mini Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair - VS 400W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply Optical Drive: Asus - DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer Wired Network Adapter: TP-Link - TG-3468 PCI-Express x1 10/100/1000 Mbps Network Adapter I'll be using Amazon to buy everything so ignore the shipping prices. Good enough? Thanks.
  8. I solved the issue myself. I used a screwdriver to clear the C_mos
  9. I woke up this morning to find my computer with the Windows Boot Manager error 0xc000000e (I will most likely assume It got a blue screen when I was sleeping) The info says: "A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed." (Keyboard maybe?) I put in my Windows 7 install disc to attempt repairs but it did not boot into the DVD. However... I now noticed the computer doesn't go to the POST screen, it just goes to the boot menu (2 OS's installed) After the timer runs out I get the Windows Boot Manager error. And my keyboard is not working so, I cannot press F8. I have tried multiple USB ports with two keyboards and they will not power on... However again, the USB ports are in fact getting power (my upconverter light says it's getting v5). So maybe my mobo is failing?? I have also tried powering it down, unplugging it pressed the power button (to ensure the power is completely out) then plugged it back into power on. Still no good. My motherboard is a Gigabyte X79-UP4 rev 1.0 SSD SanDisk 128gb (OS is stored on) If anyone thinks more specs are needed I'll provide if necessary. Thanks!
  10. I just got done doing a clean install of Windows 7 for a friends PC I just rebuilt. I booted into the OS with the keyboard & mouse (both USB) working fine, however, it could not detect my Flash Drive. So I decided I'd let Windows 7 update since I knew it would need to be updated and I updated the drivers while I was at it. After the reboot, I cannot use anything UBS related. Which means mouse & keyboard as well (Yes, I tried using the 2.0 and 3.0 ports to see if they would work). I tried going into safe mode to roll back some of the drivers... safe mode is affected as well. and the Windows Repair tool is affected by this as well... My only thought would be that it has something to do with the motherboard since it affects all of these modes. The PC's Specs: GTX 1050 SC (Graphics card runs off of PCI-E power no 6-8pin) Intel 3.70 GHz Core i3-6100 3M Cache Processor (BX80662I36100) GIGABYTE GA-H110M-A LGA1151 Intel H110 Micro ATX DDR4 Motherboard Patriot Signature Line 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 PC4-19200 2400MHz Memory Module Kit PSD48G2400K 500W Power supply Thanks!
  11. I'm doing a rebuild for a friend, I'm putting a 500W power supply [Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+] What I'm putting into the system: GTX 1050 SC (Graphics card runs off of PCI-E power no 6-8pin) Intel 3.70 GHz Core i3-6100 3M Cache Processor (BX80662I36100) GIGABYTE GA-H110M-A LGA1151 Intel H110 Micro ATX DDR4 Motherboard Patriot Signature Line 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 PC4-19200 2400MHz Memory Module Kit PSD48G2400K Will this power supply do the job? 12. I need a microATX motherboard that can support an Intel Core i3-6100 https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i3-6100-Cache-Processor-BX80662I36100/dp/B015VPX2EO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1524190331&sr=8-3&keywords=i3%2B6100&th=1#HLCXComparisonWidget_feature_div That supports DDR3-1333 RAM, less than $150 USD and new. Thanks!
