Been noticing stuttering (sound and video) in games that I am running on a laptop. I haven't been using my laptop intensively for the last 6 months, but I never remembered it doing this while playing games. Been checking some temps and my laptop's CPU is running at 67C to 70C idle and then when under load it jumps straight to 95C or so with the CPU load at maybe 20-30%. Also, I'm not sure if it's related or not but the laptop has been crashing intermittently (blue screens) for the past year or so. The displayed errors are usually to do with memory (corrupted, overflow). I took the cover off and cleaned/blew out the fans and vents, but it hasn't helped much. Not sure what the problem is (old thermal paste?, more dust, etc. in the fans, cooling?). One other thing that I noticed is that the CPU is rated at 2.4GHz, but task manager displays it running at 3.2~GHz, not sure if it's related or not.
