  1. Thank you that is some very helpful information and with that i when looking for more headphones and I found the ATH AD series. I was looking at the middle child the AD-900X its in my price range and from more research an open sound stage for gaming sounds like a nice feature in theory. And out of the K7XX and AD-900X im leaning greatly to the AD-900X but that is just my lightly educated opinion and would like some other opinions.
  2. So after a long time and a lot of videos and forms I still cant pick. From what I have seen and read ATH M50x are fantastic and AKG k702/AKG k7XX are great. I was going to pick the M50x because of the amount of people that love them, the level of audio quality, and the ability to wear them for a long time. But after seeing the Massdrop K7XX and with the same quality's but open back and the great head strap... I got torn. (edit) Doing more research i found that the ATH AD 900x come very recommended for spacial awareness but Im worried with the wing design for the top head band wont keep the head phones up. My use will be only for my PC in my quiet room with occasional noise from my father practicing his guitar from the other room but I cant hear it if i use apple headphones at 40%. That noise made me mostly think about closed back but for gaming the open back and wider sound stage sounds like it would be a big plus. Now I haven't and cant listen to the headphones without buying them so that is why I need help. Is open back better for gaming? If I pick the K702/K7XX would I have poor results using my MOBO for sound (STRIX X370-F), and would an amp or DAC be worth it for a 62 Ohms Impedance? Does any out side noise make it not listenable? If I get the M50X will a Dac or Amp help? Or Should i drop both and get something way different if it fits everything I need I can go over 200$ I will also be getting a mod mic 5.0 for the mic so I don't want a Gaming headset I would like quality sound and Comfort.
