  1. @aisle9 I've already purchased the RAM, as I said, just not the motherboard yet. As long as there are no issues then it's all good. Also, considering the deal I got I consider 2400hz to be far better for Ryzen than 2133. This will be combined with a Ryzen 7 1700 for light 1080p/4k editing with either 720p or 1080p proxies applied. Specs I'm buying going with (in case you're wondering) Ryzen 7 1700 Asus Strix B350-f G.Skill RGB 16gb ddr4 2400hz (already have) Samsung 960 EVO 250gb 3tb Seagate NZXT Kraken X42 (anything above is crazy prices in AU) Windforce GTX 970 (already have this bit) Coolermaster H500p (say as you wish I like the look) ASUS wifi/bluetooth card Corsair K55+Harpoon LG 27UD69-w (I get 40% discount Corsair CX550M Will do a little overclocking on the CPU to about 3.8Ghz I'm sure I could sell the 970 and upgrade to a 980 ti for an extra $150 or so but I'm waiting until Volta for the 1170 or 1180 to get true 4k performance. At the minute the 970 does its job at performing excellently at 1080p and even 1440p in a lot of games. I appreciate the help guys I was just a little worried the RAM wouldn't work and I didn't plan on spending more during this craze considering I got a good deal on the kit.
  2. Ok, first of, this is my first time on the forum and why is it super zoomed in... On a more important note, I have purchased the G.Skill Trident Z RGB f4-2400c15d-16gtzr - that is the exact model number. I want to buy the Asus ROG Strix B350-f as it ticks all of the boxes for me personally. Anyway, when I checked the QVL list I realised the memory wasn't on there. A little concerned I headed towards the Asus support page and directly asked if it was compatible. They just said that since it's not on the list they cannot confirm nor deny that it would work. So I go to Tom's hardware to ask something and the forum is broken, you sign in it instantly signs you out, so frustrating. On a final note, I ask here whether or not the RAM will work. I need to know this before I buy the motherboard because I've already bought the RAM.
