  1. Im going 27'' for sure, and no matter what happens even 12k in the next years, i know i am going to have to stay with this monitor for a long... long long time, in a galaxy far far away + i doubt next 2 year gpus will push to 4k being playable with 144hz... What do you guys think about the specific monitors i mention above? From what i understood, ONLY IPS- with gsync at 144hz is my filter options... Lets narrow things, only Screens that come up is Asus PG279Q AOC AG271QG Unless i buy from another country online- how wise would that be with so many defective monitors? If i remove the gsync there is many more options available at Heavily lower prices... Im sure any technology out there is pretty nice to have, but priority wise? E.g. to get the extra g sync i have to go to a price from 650Euro- to 850... Also going IPS only limits all possible canditates to only 1440p which are much more expensive... Is it worth it? When i started my budget was 400Euro- now it seems 850Euro and i still hear negative stuff about them burnt pixels about returning them and im kinda panicked...
  2. Thank you very much for your opinion Thinkfreely. If you could read the rest of the topic i would really like to year your opinion on the rest of my questions!
  3. Hello Linustech! So basically i just decided i'll be buying a new pc monitor for gaming! For the last 10 years i owned a 26'' Samsung Syncmaster TN panel(Full HD) which was high end at the time. Spec wise I Decided based on what i heard- to buy 144hz monitor. Thats a must- non negotiable. Now from the rest of the specs i dont really know which is the best options to include and which not... 1.) G sync = How important is it? Basically i keep on hearing its super important-or that people tend to remove it because it limits frames etc... I own a 1060gtx -6gb Super Jetstream Palit Gpu. Since i cant really reach 144fps in any game- not even diablo 3 is it really needed to make it a priority?? Im an Nvidia fanboy-because i experienced better gaming through them many times. Tried to make a transition many times to amd for a cheaper option but never actually enjoyed it, and i hardly ever see myself going for AMD unless they make a major breakthrough and own nvidia. 2.) 1080p-1440p seems not important to me since i guess to reach a higher fps to use the 144hz i will have to limit to 1080p anyway am i wrong? 3.) Huge problem i have is i keep on hearing so many IPS panel lovers being really aggressive on not getting TN. However how important is 1ms vs 4ms to compensate for it(I am mostly casual gamer-but when there is a possible advantage i usually really like to capitalize on it)? And i keep on hearing that TN is terrible in colour representation and i definitely dont notice something bad in my old Samsung Syncmaster, which i wouldnt change unless the 144hz thing popped up... To be honest the thing i hate is when i see in some monitors reflecting back myself while playing a game... Is IPS the type of panel this happens at? 4.) 144hz vs 240 hz? In case i later buy a 1180 nvidia gpu is it worth it? I heard 240 vs 144hz isnt noticeable with a naked eye? I am a high end buyer usually but i try to be value for money and dont like paying for things i wont take advantage off- eg. paying extra for a g sync monitor then realizing g sync drops my frame rate and not using it again... 5.) How good is quantum dot? Honestly i really enjoy the exaggeration in colours Samsung usually offers in their screens, but how good is quantum dot display?? Based on all those questions i am considering 3 gaming monitors which i only intend to use for gaming( i already have a 4k 55'' LG TV for movies etc) but im also free to any excellent suggestions since i blindly trust you guys. Samsung C27FG73 Dell S2716DG Samsung 27CHG70 Asus PG279Q Samsung monitors dont have G-sync and i immediately removed them from the equation. Is this wise? Dell S2716DG is one of my top contenders but i heard the colours are absolutely terrible- and its a no buy cause of tn. And Asus which was everywhere advertised as the best out there, and as i was ready to buy it, i read Thousands literally disappointed buyers that say things about pixel problems and backlight bleeding... and returning them back and forth till they get a good model and risk is included in such a buy. I intend to keep the monitor for 10 years, and for me 800 euro is extremely expensive but still considered. But is it worth it? Any alternatives with less risk involved and possibly at a lesser price? I play games like Diablo3-League of Legends- BF1- Overwatch- Hearthstone- Xcom2- GTA V etc... Huge thanks for anyone that took the time to read this and for any advice coming my way!
