  1. Yeah i was mistaken in what I was hearing. I’m not going to RMA as it would take probably close to a month to get a new card with the way the market is. The fan replacement is easy enough so I’m just gonna stick with the fans
  2. I have taken my graphics card out, placed it on a table and spun each individual fan with my finger. The problem fan is the furthest one from the mounting bracket (the far right one). This brings me back to the original question of my post; does anybody know if the 1080 Ti and the 1080 have the same cooling system?
  3. So this is the noise I’m experiencing. It doesn’t only last through startup but through the whole time the fans are on
  4. I did it at desktop with only afterburner open. It would stop whining at about 85% and was just fan noise
  5. I used Afterburner to ramp the speeds up to different levels and left it for 30 seconds or so to see if it changed anything. At 85% fan speed, the whine stopped and it was just regular fan noise. And I am not maxing the graphics card by any means. I’ve limited to 100 FPS on 1080p settings and it still whines. I will open the case up to make sure everything is tight and seated properly when I get back home as it could very well be an issue
  6. It doesn’t whine until the fans spin up though. Under load before the fans spin up there is no noise. Unless it’s a fan whine (?) if that’s a thing
  7. Ok guys. Just bought a Strix 1080 off of eBay. It had been lightly used for a month in an sli rig and the user decided sell one card (mine). I received it and installed it and when the fans spin up you can hear some coil whine. My build overall has been nearly silent until this point and it is driving me insane hearing this. I have been looking around and found a fan and heatsink for sale for $70 on eBay but it is for a Strix 1080 Ti. I have been combing through the Internet and YouTube and have not been able to find if the fan and heatsink are different between the two or not. If they are not, I can pick up this setup and replace mine and hopefully fix the problem. Any input is greatly appreciated!

  9. I think it may be at $450 now but regardless that's a pretty good price for the phone. I have also watched a ton of reviews and more recent ones are saying that the software updates have improved the camera functionality a significant amount. However, I have seen many people report that they have had problems with response time on the screen and it misclick on some devices fairly often. However, it doesn't seem to be a rampant issue so maybe some people just got unlucky
  10. I know you can still find that bundle on eBay. How bad exactly is the camera and do you personally own one?
  11. Hey guys. Recently been considering switching from the iPhone bandwagon to the new Essential phone. Anybody have one or had any experiences with one? Negative or positive. Trying to get a good feel for the reliability of it.
  12. Thank you for your reply. I have an EVGA 750w Gold+. And all drivers are updated, the memory is brand new, the psu is brand new, and I can't perform the clean install. This installation of windows was used on my prebuilt and worked just fine, however I cannot perform a clean install as I do not have the disk to download a fresh install and I do not have the license number

  14. Hey guys! So recently I switched graphics card from a 1060 to a Radeon RX 480. The reason in doing so is because my old graphics card was crashing and I was troubleshooting with a card my buddy had laying around (the 480). The 1060 came from a prebuilt pc and once the pc started messing up I decided to scrap that build after I opened the case and realized the components were all fairly low grade, save the GPU, SSD, and CPU, which are the only parts that were carried over from the prebuilt. I uninstalled all NVIDIA drivers and software with DDU in safe mode and installed all AMD drivers in safe mode as well. I downloaded the latest drivers straight form AMD's website as to avoid getting corrupt versions from sketchy sites. Games will crash anywhere from 20 minutes in to 45 seconds of gameplay. I bring up eventviewer and the fault that is displayed is "display driver amdkmdap has stopped responding and successfully recovered." Normal PC operation is fine. It doesn't crash on anything except games. TDR is set to 10 and card is not overclocked above factory settings. All specs for my pc are on my profile and any help is greatly appreciated!
