    Sounds like you need to isolate the issue. Can you unplug the 1TB and check to see if you can boot with your 70GB? You need to find out if it is your OS drive or your 1TB drive. Sounds like a issue with your boot sector which is located on your OS drive. Also Backup your important files ASAP if not done already. The more you use the drive the more you can damage it.
