I used it to game for around 1-2 hours straight while in hospital. There was no drop in performance and it never felt hot to the touch. If at all I think it was more the warmth of my hands that heated the top side. The cooling is quite good. Even while on EQ2 or Witcher 3 for some time it never was uncomfortable or felt like a heater... 
 
Even though something parked at the exhaust gets quite warm then. Just place your cup of coffee or tea there =) 

Nice review. I want to know how much the surface of the  laptop heats up heats up. Does this throttle after an hours game and is this good for long time use? Thanks.
