  1. Hey y'all, I have a hard drive with my school files and my steam library. Recently I got an SSD and want to make that drive my boot drive. I know that if I install windows on the SSD I need to change the boot order, but would my hard drive still work for storage? And would I be able to access files like my steam library, google chrome, excel, etc? Thanks for the help in advance
  2. It's the CPU LED, and I have already bought a replacement CPU, bad mobo socket maybe?
  3. I've checked everything at least 8 times over (not exaggerating), and the RAM isn't listed on MSI's list, but I'll check one more time.
  4. So, I have determined that my system won't POST because the RAM isn't compatible with my system. The mobo is an MSI B350m Gaming Pro, and the CPU is a Ryzen 3 1300x. Any suggestions for RAM? I'm really new to the PC world, and it seems like every RAM I google search from MSI's compatibility list either costs a fortune or I can't find. Help pls. Specs: CPU: AMD R3 1300x GPU: EVGA GTX 1050ti MOBO: MSI B350M Gaming Pro HDD: WD Blue 7200 RPM 1TB RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR42400MHz Power supply: EVGA 500 80+ white Case: Corsair Carbide spec-04
  5. That's interesting bc the board isn't giving a debug light for the ram... if so, I suppose I've found my problem.
  6. To both of y'all, I have done everything johndms has said, except waiting 10 minutes and reinserting the CPU. Currently on the MSI link you, TARS, just sent.
  7. Built my first system over thanksgiving break, but the CPU ez debug light showed on the mother board. Returned the CPU, got a new one, same problem. I've that maybe the BIOS is an older version and I need to update that, but how am I supposed to do that with no POST. When I power the system on, all the fans start spinning. No beeps though, but I don't think there's anything on the case or on the MOBO that're supposed to make noise. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 3 1300x GPU: EVGA GTX 1050ti MOBO: MSI B350m Gaming Pro Power Supply: EVGA 500 watt 80+ white RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB Case: Corsair Carbide spec-04
  8. The video card only has one HDMI port, but I'll go try the tv thing.
  9. Ok, so I can't use the older monitor and the mobo hdmi did nothing...
  10. I have an older non-hdmi monitor that I can try. I can also try to plug it into the mobo
  11. Just finished my new build. Turned it on, the fans spin, but the monitor stays in power saving mode when plugged into the gpu or mobo. Help please. specs: CPU: AMD R3 1300x GPU: EVGA GTX 1050ti MOBO: MSI B350M Gaming Pro HDD: WD Blue 7200 RPM 1TB RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR42400MHz Power supply: EVGA 500 80+ white Case: Corsair Carbide spec-04
