  1. actually i dont know if i did it wrong but this wasn't it... it just created like a virtual copy of my local drive?
  2. My WD blue is slowly dying (been using it for 10 years) and I backed up my hard drive, but I have no idea what to do from here. In my new drive (E:) it just has an acronis disk image tool, but I don't know what that it or what to do from here. I need help asap thank you. i backed up using seagate discwizard edit: sorry if this is the wrong place to post, I just saw general tech discussion and immediately went here
  3. I'm still on a 1080p monitor so that isn't too much worse lol
  4. How would that work actually? I play fortnite mainly and if I ended up doing that, what could I expect my performance to be?
  5. Yeah, I have considered it but I've always been drawn to MacOS
  6. Razer has been nothing but a shitstorm for me. I bought a Razer Seiren from them (biggest mistake) and after it stopped working after a few months (I later figured out it was because of a cable) they told me to turn it off and on again??????? It doesn't have an on and off switch?????
  7. Firstly, I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask. Anyways, I currently have a beefy gaming computer which is nice I guess and when I do happen to game every once in an eon it's fun but I don't do it enough that I can justify keeping it, and the other work that I do do on it such as light photoshop and lightroom work, typing essays for class and light video production sometimes, I feel like a Macbook pro would do me better than this, since I can take it to class and such. Is this the right move? Thanks
  8. I just got an i5 7600k and a motherboard running an h110 chipset, and I was wondering if there are any disadvantages or compatibility issues between the two. I've heard that the only issue will be that I'd be limited to one pcie slot, and I only use one which isn't a big issue. Is there anything else I should be worried about?
  9. I'm looking for a new computer which I'd actually be buying in at least 6 months to a year. I'd be using it to do mainly productive things such as homework, editing videos and photos in premiere, after effects and lightroom, and playing games a bit. The games I play are GTA V, Fortnite, Overwatch, etc. I need high performance but nothing insane. This is what I have so far but please feel free to change things because I am not too good with choosing hardware. Also I want to use Intel preferably. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GgDWWX
  10. I did so today, seemed to have done the trick with overwatch, not sure if it worked on fortnite since I haven't played it yet. Just to clarify though, why would cleaning the dust out of my fans help even though my processor is liquid cooled? I'm pretty sure that's what's driving the games mostly right?
  11. I've had a decent gaming computer for the past couple years and I never had any issues running games specifically Overwatch at ultra, which I played months ago, but recently after installing Fortnite I can't even run that at low settings without my computer getting really hot and loud, which I've never experienced. I tried playing Overwatch again today to see if it was just Fortnite but it was also happening on Overwatch! I haven't cleaned my computer in a few months but I don't see why that would cause this to happen even at the lowest settings in each game. My specs are: FX-8350 16gb ddr3 Crucial Ballistix GTX 780 (stock version I think)
  12. I'm curious as to see if my upcoming build would support MacOS ( https://pcpartpicker.com/list/KzdPM8 ), this is just a thought and I probably won't end up doing a hackintosh. Also, if I do end up doing it, is there any way I could make Apple exclusive programs work? (ex; iMessage, FaceTime, AirDrop, etc) Thanks for the help!
