  1. I would definitely recommend that. For £100 thats a no-brainer.
  2. I've installed Davinci Resolve on my PC and every clip I import it says "Media Offline". When the clip is added to the timeline, I can hear the audio but no video. I have had a look online and on the DaVinci forums but I haven't been able to find a solution to this problem. I have updated my GPU drivers and also reinstalled them and restarted by PC. I have been able to get the clips to work on a different PC but not on this current PC. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you! Update: I did some Windows Updates and now the software is working correctly.
  3. I haven't run Crystal Disk on my SSD but I've run the Windows Error Check and it often find errors with my SSD which keep coming back. The computer will often freeze and when I reboot the SSD is not detected in the BIOS. The only way to fix the issue is to shutdown the PC, power off the PC from the wall and then power back on.
  4. Hi, I have a Kingston 120GB SSD which is failing, it keeps crashing Windows and blue screening. After looking online the error code indicates that the SSD is what is failing. I've had lots of trouble with this SSD in the past however my question is, would cloning a faulty SSD damage the new SSD?
  5. Yesterday my computer did an update which caused the PC to continuously blue screen after showing the Windows 7 desktop. I restored a restore point by spamming F8 on startup and that fixed the issue. I then tried to manually install only 4 of the updates as I had around 190 updates to do. I did two 2018 updates, a NET Framework 4 update and a SP1 update. After that the PC went off, failed to configure windows and then stopped booting entirely (only the black screen with the flashing underscore showed, the windows logo never appeared). I now have a fresh install of Windows 7 Home and all the drivers for all my components installed however I'm scared to actually allow the updates but I need them to run certain programs and games. Here are all the specs for my computer: CPU: Intel i5 7500 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050 ti RAM: 4GB of DDR4 RAM at 2400Mhz Drives: Kingston 120GB SSD and a 1TB Western Digital hard drive Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B250M-DS3H OS: Windows 7 Home (installed on SSD) Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  6. I'll try that, its a fresh install anyways and I have everything backed up.
  7. I've been using my Kingston SSD for 3 years now, just put it into a new system a few days ago but after doing some windows updates, it blue screened and now fails to boot into Windows. I did a fresh install of Windows three days ago. When turning the PC on, the motherboard startup screen shows, then the black screen with the flashing underscore shows but thats as far as it gets. Spamming F8 to try and get into startup repair does nothing but the drive is still detected in the BIOS and boot menu. Any suggestions would be great. I've had many problems with this drive in the past, has it finally failed?
  8. I have a Kingston SSD currently running Windows 7 and I'm using AMD. However in a few days I'll be moving to Intel and I was wondering if I could just simply plug my current SSD into my new system without having to reinstall Windows and it would still work? I've had a look online and I can't find a solid answer. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  9. Will this GPU work with DDR4 RAM? In the description on here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MG15JZS/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1KHP20U4KEY80&colid=3HVPQN1K1FKV3&psc=1 The computer RAM type says DDR3 SDRAM but I intend to be using DDR4 RAM with this GPU. Thank you.
  10. I've been experiencing random PC crashes for a few months now and I've starting looking into the issue however I've always come up empty. Here are the list of components that my computer is running: Motherboard: Asrock N68C-S UUC CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940 GPU: AMD Radeon HD 5450 SSD: Kingston SSDNow sv300s37a I can be doing anything on my PC, I can have 1 chrome tab open and it randomly freezes, or I can be playing a game on steam or have 10 chrome tabs open and it wont crash. Sometimes it will run everything and other times it can't even handle YouTube. When the screen freezes, the mouse can still be moved and then the entire PC locks up and crashes. The PC never bluescreens though. When I go to reboot my PC the motherboard startup screen shows and sometimes stays on the screen the entire time failing to actually boot from my boot drive. When I go into my boot menu only my WDC 1TB hard drive and my Seagate Expansion drives are detected and my Kingston SSD is missing. However, fully powering the PC down, the includes unplugging the PSU from the wall and waiting for the residual power to disperse allows the PC to start up fine without any issues. Often when the PC crashes it will then crash again shortly after. I've had my PC do this 6 times in the space of 2 hours before. Other times it can go days before it actually does this again. I'll shortly be replacing my PC with better hardware as the motherboard, CPU and GPU are outdated and I'm upgrading to something more powerful, but I'd possibly like to keep this PC going maybe as a NAS and I'd like to be able to find the issues before I actually trust my PC to stay on and not randomly freeze. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
