  1. im reading that people experienced rough screen flickering and such with that adapter, how common is that and could you elaborate on that issue if you know about it so that i know better before purchasing? EDIT: also what the hells the difference between a 3D monitor and a 2D one. People think the adapter doesn't work with 3D at all.
  2. So i messed up royally and got a Acer GN246HL Bbid with my 1660ti installed not understanding the situation needing a GPU connected dual dvi connection for 144hz situation. I've heard there are adapters to make it work that are more on the expensive side of things. My question, What is the most affordable option for this display adapter? Also side note, considering just getting this instead monitor any opinions ? I don't have much money and was wondering how the much more experienced linus community thought about this.
  3. Fantastic, i knew i was asking the right guy! Thanks for all this information. 4. Gotcha alright, cool.. just writing some notes down for this. I'm curious of your opinion though what you'd go to as a prebuilt pc if you had a choice. Or actually who you'd go with to pay to put together a PC i know you wouldn't personally every pay for that but i ask because i hope you have some knowledge regarding the reputation of certain companies.
  5. Odd watched a couple videos where the cover isn't shown for the psu...
  6. noticed something about the case though it doesn't have a PSU cover, why is that?
  7. i definitely appreciate the picker list here, i used it and upgraded both the cpu and graphics card via pc part picker and saved the build just in case i dont go with a prebuilt.
  8. lol glad you think so, and maybe so.. but i'm unsure and would like a second opinion recommendation. Although i'll ask her later today lol.
  9. I used to have fun with it, but my time recently is precious and so most my time recently is either spending time planning my wedding or taking my fiance out so we can relax.
  10. That's a great idea, i don't actually know of any local shops near me i blame that on ignorance more or less but i'll look into it now, but if i cannot find one i'd like some recommendations just in case finding that is a fruitless endeavor
  11. so i could utilize PCpartpicker and all those other tools but i don't believe you can pay them to assemble it for you. I do not feel up to it with my schedule to do it myself. I'm looking for a good rig for modern triple A gaming for long periods of time within a 1000-1200 usd price range. If you guys could assist me here I'd be much appreciative.
  12. That's a great find but i'll bookmark it for later due to its price. Know of any good lap desks?
  13. So, recently i've been stuck in my bed for the past 3-4 weeks as per doctor orders and i've been having terrible back pains and leg pains cuz of how long im in my bed. i play WoW and would now be staying in bed a LONG period of time. Is there any product to help improve back posture and to hold a mouse / keyboard setup for a desktop computer? You guys are gurus and my memory is terrible so any previous product i may have seen i definitely forgot.
  14. i could use some well informed recommendations with what monitor to get for gaming within the 80-90$ range.
  15. So i have a problem with windows 10 enterprise where certain security features aren't changeable regardless of me being an admin and it being my home computer like setting an exe to an exclusion list... i'm unsure if going to the group policy editor can over ride these OS defaulted security systems that are put into place but i definitely need some guidance as i am unsure on everything with operating Windows 10. I get this error with several things.
