Hello Guys,
I'm new on this forum, so please if I made an appropriate comment or statement, please correct me.
I’m Going to build my new PC for 3D Modelling and 3D rendering for 3DsMAX and V-ray,
but there are a lot of question I need to ask because I’m worried if I build this PC is not going to work properly.
This is my Specification:
Motherboard: still confused whether I should build for more RAM or for 4-way SLI.
ASUS Z10PE-D16 WS or
ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS
CPU:
2x Intel Xeon E5-2699 v4 22-Cores
GPU: (It will be increase in the future depend on the motherboard)
2x ASUS ROG-Strix GTX 1080 Ti – 11Gb
Memory: (It can be increase in the future if the Motherboard is ASUS Z10PE-D16 WS)
Corsair Dominator Platinum Series 128 (8x16Gb) DDR4 2666MHz
SSD: (for OS)
Samsung 960 Pro 512 GB M.2(PCIe) SSD
SSD: (for Primary Active Data)
Samsung 850 Pro 1 TB
HDD: (for Storage)
Seagate Barracuda Pro 4Tb
PSU: (Please suggest me the best PSU for this PC)
MasterWatt Maker 1500 Digital PSU
Computer Case:
Cooler Master Cosmos C700P Full Tower
Water-cooling:
Thermaltake Floe Riing RGB 360 TT Premium Edition
My question is:
1. Should I focus on 4-way SLI from ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS or more RAM slot from ASUS Z10PE-D16 WS?
2. Can I do 4-way SLI on ASUS ROG-Strix GTX 1080 Ti – 11Gb for future upgrade (As I review this product is very thick GPU)? Or should I buy the Original GTX 1080 Ti from NVIDIA?
3. Is ASUS Z10PE can handle Xeon E5-2699 V4? I have take a look at the driver available in this motherboard and there is Xeon E5-2699 V4. However, in the overview, it specifically states that this motherboard is for E5-2600 V3 family. Should I change to E5-2699 V3 instead or it is alright?
If there is any problem with this PC setup, please let me know… J
Thank you so much and look forward to hearing from you guys…
